Podgrad, Ilirska Bistrica
Podgrad (; it, Castelnuovo; german: Neuhaus) is a village southwest of Ilirska Bistrica in the Inner Carniola region of Slovenia, close to the border with Croatia. Unmarked grave Podgrad is the site of an unmarked grave from the end of the Second World War. The Cemetery Grave ( sl, Grobišče na pokopališču) is located in the village cemetery and contains the remains of a German soldier from the 97th Corps that fell at the beginning of May 1945. Its exact location is unknown. Podkraj () is a village southeast of Col in the Municipality of Ajdovščina in the Littoral region of Slovenia. Hrušica (plateau)
Hrušica (; German: ''Birnbaumer Wald'' iterally, 'pear tree forest' Italian: ''Selva di Piro'') is a plateau at the northern end of the Postojna Gate. The plateau can be viewed as the end or extension of the Trnovo Forest Plateau ( sl, Trnovski gozd), and to the west is Mount Nanos. The limestone plateau reaches an elevation of 1,080 m, while the road crosses it at 883 m. Because the Postojna Gate is crossed at a lower point of 606 m at nearby Postojna, modern traffic including the railroad and the freeway bypass Hrušica.
