Hother A. Paludan
Hother A. Paludan (9 October 1871 – 2 August 1956) was a Danish architect and civil servant. Biography Born in Rårup, his parents were the chaplain (later the vicar) Otto Frederik Paludan and Sophie Frederikke Worm. Paludan attended the Technical School in 1891–94. From 1898 until 1904, he studied at the School of Architecture under Hans Jørgen Holm. Paludan was employed by Holm in the refurbishment of estates in Allholm and Vallø in 1894–1902; he was employed by Hack Kampmann in 1902. Paludan received the KA Lars Scholarship in 1902–03 at which time he took a study tour through Europe. From 1902, Paludan owned a design studio in Copenhagen, moving the business in 1905 to Aalborg, where he stayed until 1932. Rårup is a village in Hedensted Municipality in the Mid Jutland Region of Denmark. With 423 inhabitants (2022), Rårup is located in Rårup Parish (''sogn'') 13 km northwest of the town of Juelsminde, 14 km southeast of the city of Horsens and 16 km east of the town of Hedensted. Hans Jørgen Holm
Hans Jørgen Holm (9 May 1835 – 22 July 1916) was a Danish architect. A pupil of Johan Daniel Herholdt, he became a professor at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and a leading Danish proponent of the National Romantic style. Vallø
Vallø was a municipality (Danish, '' kommune'') in the former Roskilde County on the east coast of the island of Zealand (''Sjælland'') in East Denmark. The municipality covered an area of 84 km2, and had a total population of 10,337 (2005). Its last mayor was Poul Arne Nielsen, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party. Hack Kampmann
Hack Kampmann (6 September 1856 – 27 June 1920) was a Danish architect, Royal Inspector of Listed State Buildings in Jutland and professor at the architecture department of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Marselisborg Palace in Aarhus, built between 1899 and 1902, is among his best known works. Biography His parents were Christian Peter Georg Kampmann, a parish priest, and Johanne Marie Schmidt. He entered the architecture department of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 1873 and graduated in 1882, receiving the school's prestigious small gold medal ("Lille guldmedalje") for the design of a "Swimming bath in the Italian Renaissance style". Kampmann went on numerous study trips throughout Europe, paid for by several scholarships, including northern Italy, Greece and Sweden. Order Of The Dannebrog
The Order of the Dannebrog ( da, Dannebrogordenen) is a Danish order of chivalry instituted in 1671 by Christian V. Until 1808, membership in the order was limited to fifty members of noble or royal rank, who formed a single class known as ''White Knights'' to distinguish them from the ''Blue Knights'' who were members of the Order of the Elephant. In 1808, the Order was reformed and divided into four classes. The ''Grand Commander'' class is reserved to persons of princely origin. It is awarded only to royalty with close family ties with the Danish Royal House. Hellerup () is a very affluent district of Gentofte Municipality in the suburbs of Copenhagen, Denmark. The most urban part of the district is centred on Strandvejen and is bordered by Østerbro to the south and the Øresund to the east. It comprises Tuborg Havn, the redeveloped brewery site of Tuborg Breweries, with the Waterfront Shopping Center, a marina and the headquarters of several large companies.
