DJ Hoppa
Lee Gresh, known professionally as DJ Hoppa (born, April 28, 1983) is an American DJ and producer from Panorama City, Los Angeles. He was signed to rapper Hopsin's now defunct record label Funk Volume, and CEO of the San Fernando Valley independent label Broken Complex located in North Hollywood, California. He has made beats for Dizzy Wright's '' The Golden Age'' mixtape, ''The First Agreement EP'' and ''SmokeOut Conversations'', Jarren Benton's ''My Grandma's Basement'', and also worked with SwizZz & Gavlyn. Early life Hoppa was born on April 28, 1983 to a trumpeter and a cellist. In 1992, his father died. Funk Volume
Funk Volume was an American independent record label founded by American rapper Hopsin. The label was home to artists Dizzy Wright, Jarren Benton, SwizZz, and producers DJ Hoppa and Kato. The label is defunct due to a feud between co-founders Hopsin and Damien "Dame" Ritter in regards to financial alterations. Following the feud Hopsin decided to leave the label, resulting in all affiliated artists leaving Funk Volume. The label was shut down soon after. History Formation and success (2009-2015) Following an ill-fated record deal with Ruthless Records rapper Hopsin founded the independent record label Funk Volume, while Dame Ritter acted as business manager over all the artists and the label. SwizZz
Justin Ritter (born September 28, 1987), known professionally as SwizZz, is an American rapper and songwriter. He is best known for significantly collaborating with childhood friend Hopsin, and being signed to their record label Funk Volume, which was founded by Hopsin himself. He has released various singles and released two mixtapes including '' Haywire'' with Hopsin, and ''Good Morning SwizZzle''. Early life SwizZz initially met Hopsin in high school, where they were classmates and became close friends. After high school SwizZz got accepted into the University of California at Irvine, but after two years he decided to put his education on hold, while he would pursue a career in music. Marcus Jamal Hopson (born July 18, 1985), known professionally as Hopsin, is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer from Los Angeles. In 2007, he was signed to Ruthless Records, and had founded his own record label, Funk Volume, in 2009. He would then go on to found another record label, Undercover Prodigy, in 2016. La'Reonte Wright (born November 26, 1990), known professionally as Dizzy Wright, is an American rapper and record producer. In December 2011, Wright signed to rapper Hopsin's independent record label, Funk Volume. After signing, he released his debut studio album ''SmokeOut Conversations'' in April 2012. He followed that with ''The First Agreement'' in December of that year, and then a mixtape '' The Golden Age'' in August 2013. Jarren Giovanni Benton (born October 26, 1981), is an American rapper from Decatur, Georgia. In early 2012, he signed to rapper Hopsin's independent record label Funk Volume and released a mixtape titled, ''Freebasing with Kevin Bacon'' in June 2012.
