Holiday On The Buses
''Holiday on the Buses'' is a 1973 British comedy film directed by Bryan Izzard and starring Reg Varney and Doris Hare. The film is the third and final spin-off film from the ITV sitcom ''On the Buses'' and succeeded the films ''On the Buses'' (1971) and ''Mutiny on the Buses'' (1972). The film was produced by Ronald Chesney and Ronald Wolfe for Hammer Films. A fourth film was originally planned but cancelled. Plot The negligent bus driving of Stan Butler (Reg Varney), a driver for the Town & District bus company, finally causes a major accident in the garage forecourt. The first one injures Blakey ( Stephen Lewis), this being caused by Stan not focussing on the road after a woman suffered a wardrobe malfunction with her top and almost running into a car brakes hard with Blakey falling off. Pontins is a British company operating holiday parks in the UK, founded in 1946 by Fred Pontin. Since 2011, it has been owned by Britannia Hotels. Pontins specialises in offering half-board and self-catering holidays featuring entertainment at resorts, or "holiday parks", as they have branded them. Accommodation is usually in the form of chalets (which Pontins calls "apartments"). Alex Munro (6 March 1911 – 20 January 1986) was a Scottish actor and comedian. Career Born as Alexander Neilson Horsburgh in Shettleston, Glasgow, he joined his brother Archie and sister June in an acrobatic act called ''The Star Trio''. They later changed their name to ''The Horsburgh Brothers and Agnes'' and became part of Florrie Forde's music hall company with Flanagan and Allen.
