Hoevelaken
Hoevelaken is a town in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is a part of the municipality of Nijkerk, and lies about 5 km east of Amersfoort. Hoevelaken was a separate municipality until 2000, when it was merged with Nijkerk. History It was first mentioned in 1132 as Hovelaken, and means "estate near the river Laak". It started as a linear settlement. In 1402, the castle Huis te Hoevelaken was built. In 1672, it was destroyed and probably most of the village was destroyed as well. Between 1806 and 1809, the road from Amersfoort to Deventer was paved which resulted in an increase of economical activity in the village. The tower of the Dutch Reformed Church dates from the 16th century. The medieval church has disappeared during the extensions of 1866 and 1930. In 1840, Hoevelaken was home to 742 people. Transport links In national context, the town is mostly known because of the homonymous motorway interchange between the E30, E231 and E232. This interchange is an importa ...

Nijkerk
Nijkerk (; Dutch Low Saxon: ''Niekark'') is a municipality and a city located in the middle of the Netherlands, in the province of Gelderland. Population centres Some people state that ''Groot Corlaer'' is a population centre on its own, but it is officially part of Nijkerk. Transportation Railway station: Nijkerk The city of Nijkerk The name Nijkerk stems from Nieuwe Kerk (Dutch for New Church). This new church was built after the old chapel had been destroyed by fire in 1221. Nijkerk was strategically located between the Duchy of Guelders ''(Dutch: Hertogdom Gelre)'' and the Bishopric of Utrecht. Because of this strategic location Nijkerk regularly was the scene of war, and in 1412 the village was completely destroyed. It was restored and Nijkerk received city rights in 1413. In 1421 the church that gave Nijkerk its name burnt down and was replaced; this happened several times, until a new church, the ''Grote-of-Sint-Catharinakerk''; was built in the 18th century. It sti ...

The E 231 is a European B class road in the Netherlands, connecting the cities of Amsterdam and Amersfoort. The highway is maintained by Rijkswaterstaat. Route description * in Amsterdam * in Diemen * in Muiderberg * near Hilversum * in Amersfoort History The route that E 231 follows was originally called E 35 in 1950 in the Declaration on the Construction of Main International Traffic Arteries. E 35 was also laid down on a new course, running from Hook of Holland, passing by Rotterdam, Utrecht, Oberhausen, Cologne, and Ba ...

Former Municipalities Of Gelderland
A former is an object, such as a template, gauge or cutting die, which is used to form something such as a boat's hull. Typically, a former gives shape to a structure that may have complex curvature. A former may become an integral part of the finished structure, as in an aircraft fuselage, or it may be removable, being using in the construction process and then discarded or re-used. Aircraft formers Formers are used in the construction of aircraft fuselage, of which a typical fuselage has a series from the nose to the empennage, typically perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the aircraft. The primary purpose of formers is to establish the shape of the fuselage and reduce the column length of stringers to prevent instability. Formers are typically attached to longerons, which support the skin of the aircraft. The "former-and-longeron" technique (also called stations and stringers) was adopted from boat construction, and was typical of light aircraft built until the a ...
