Henry Timmer
Henry Timmer is a retired professional goalkeeper from the Netherlands. Career Timmer was born in the Dutch town of Hoevelaken in 1981. Timmer began his professional career in 2002 with NEC Nijmegen and retired with NSC Nijkerk after the 2014 season. Prior to this, Timmer spent his youth career with teams DDOV, FC Utrecht, and Vitesse Arnhem. From 2006 to 2008, Timmer played for VVOG. Timmer played for Sparta Nijkerk in the 2009–10 KNVB Cup, appearing in the first and second rounds with a defeat of VV Schaesberg in Round 1 and a draw against FC Zwolle in Round 2. In a 2003 interview, Timmer stated that there has been confusion between himself and another Dutch goalkeeper with the same last name, Henk Timmer. Hendrik Timmer (born 3 December 1971) is a Dutch former professional Association football, footballer who played as a Goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper. Club career Timmer was born in Hierden, Harderwijk, Gelderland. He spent his first 11 senior seasons in the Eerste Divisie, second division, with FC Zwolle – named PEC in his first year. In 2000, he moved to AZ Alkmaar, making his Eredivisie debut at almost 29 and also serving unassuming loans at Feyenoord and AFC Ajax. He was part of the Feyenoord squad that won the UEFA Cup 2001-02, 2001–02 UEFA Cup, and was an unused substitute in the 2002 UEFA Cup Final, final. Amersfoort () is a city and municipality in the province of Utrecht, Netherlands, about 20 km from the city of Utrecht and 40 km south east of Amsterdam. PEC Zwolle is a Dutch football club based in Zwolle, Netherlands. They play in the Eerste Divisie, the second tier of Dutch football, following relegation from the Eredivisie in the 2021–22 season. The 2009–10 KNVB Cup was the 92nd season of the Netherlands, Dutch national Association football, football knockout tournament. The competition began on 29 August 2009 with the matches of Round 1 and culminated with a double-leg Final on 25 April and 6 May 2010 respectively. AFC Ajax, Ajax won the final with a 6–1 on aggregate, winning their record 18th title. The winners of the competition will qualify for the UEFA Europa League 2010–11#Play-off round, play-off round of the 2010–11 UEFA Europa League. The final would be played initially on 25 April 2010 at 14.00 in Stadion Feijenoord, De Kuip at Rotterdam.
