Hockley Valley
The Hockley Valley Resort is a ski retreat, 18 hole championship golf course, conference centre and hotel in Mono, Ontario, Canada. It has 15 runs and four ski lifts. The town of Mono also has the Hockley Valley Provincial Nature Reserve. The resort, originally a small hotel along with a ski retreat was purchased by Nancy Adamo in 1985 and, in 1986, it underwent a $250 million revamp into a resort, spa and conference centre. Mono, Ontario
The Town of Mono is situated in south-central Ontario, Canada, at the south-east corner of Dufferin County. It stretches from Ontario Highway 9, Highway 9 along its southern border to Ontario Highway 89, Highway 89 along its northern border. Orangeville, Ontario
Orangeville (Canada 2016 Census 28,900) is a town in south-central Ontario, Canada, and the seat of Dufferin County. History The first patent of land was issued to Ezekiel Benson, a land surveyor, on August 7, 1820. That was followed by land issued to Alan Robinet in 1822. In 1863, Orangeville was named after Orange Lawrence, a businessman born in Connecticut in 1796 who owned several mills in the village. As a young man, he moved to Canada and settled in Halton County. During Upper Canada Rebellion, Mackenzie's rebellion in 1837, he was a captain in the militia. Lawrence purchased the land that became Orangeville from Robert Hughson. He settled in the area in 1844 and established a mille. The post office dates from 1851. Hockley Valley Provincial Nature Reserve
Hockley Valley Provincial Nature Reserve is a nature reserve located on the Niagara Escarpment within the township of Mono, Ontario, Canada. It is managed by Ontario Parks. Approximately 80% of the Cannings Falls Area of Natural and Scientific Interest is within the borders of the park; land acquisitions are planned to encompass it entirely. The Bruce Trail links the reserve to other protected areas of the Niagara Escarpment. Landform The topography of the area was greatly influenced by glacial processes, followed by fluvial erosion. The reserve is characterized by a till moraine and other glacial features, such as kames and kettles. A deeply cut tributary valley to the Nottawasaga River bisects the reserve through its centre. Jim Bakker
James Orsen Bakker (; born January 2, 1940) is an American televangelist and convicted fraudster. Between 1974 and 1987, Bakker hosted the television program ''The PTL Club'' and its cable television platform, the PTL Satellite Network, with his then wife, Tammy Faye. He also developed Heritage USA, a now-defunct Christian theme park in Fort Mill, South Carolina. In the late 1980s, Bakker resigned from the PTL ministry over a cover-up of hush money to church secretary Jessica Hahn for an alleged rape. Subsequent revelations of accounting fraud brought about felony charges, conviction, imprisonment, and divorce.
