Hit (drink)
Hit is a carbonated fruit-flavored soft drink brand owned by The Coca-Cola Company that is available in Venezuela, and is sold as the Venezuelan counterpart to Coca-Cola's existing Fanta brand. History Hit was first introduced in 1956 by Grupo Cisneros' beverage division, who at the time was known as the bottler of Pepsi products in the country. The venture was later renamed as Hit de Venezuela. In August 1996, Coca-Cola announced a new joint-venture with Grupo Cisneros called Emboutelladoras Coca-Cola y Hit de Venezuela, completely pulling Pepsi out of the Venezuelan market. During the formation of the new joint-venture, Coca-Cola purchased the Hit, Chinotto and Frescolita brands from Grupo. Fanta
Fanta is an American-owned German brand of fruit-flavored carbonated soft drinks created by Coca-Cola Deutschland under the leadership of German businessman Max Keith. There are more than 200 flavors worldwide. The Coca-Cola Company is an American multinational beverage corporation founded in 1892, best known as the producer of Coca-Cola. Chinotto (drink)
Chinotto () is a type of carbonated soft drink produced from the juice of the fruit of the myrtle-leaved orange tree (''Citrus myrtifolia''). The beverage is dark in color. Its appearance is similar to that of cola, but not as sweet, having a bittersweet taste. The drink was known in antiquity as a dark-hued, bitter-tasting variant of orange juice, and was considered as refreshment. Industrial production of Chinotto soda dates to the 1950s. Frescolita is a Venezuelan cola. It is very similar to red cream sodas in the United States, with a taste similar to gum. Frescolita is also used to bake in some places in Venezuela.
