Higher Power (band)
Higher Power are an English hardcore punk band formed in Leeds, West Yorkshire in 2014. They have released two full-length studio albums, one EP, one live album and one demo. Their second album, ''27 Miles Underwater'', was their major label debut through Roadrunner Records. In a 2020 poll by ''Revolver (magazine), Revolver magazine'', they were voted the most likely contemporary band to breakthrough into the mainstream. They are a part of the New Wave of British Hardcore. History In 2014, drummer Alex Wizard moved from London to Leeds and then began writing music with his brother Jimmy Wizard. They intended to record just a single demo, inspired by the sound of Leeway (band), Leeway and Merauder. The band took its name from the Subzero (band), Subzero song of the same name. Leeds
Leeds () is a city and the administrative centre of the City of Leeds district in West Yorkshire, England. It is built around the River Aire and is in the eastern foothills of the Pennines. Brudenell Social Club
The Brudenell Social Club is a live music venue and social club in Hyde Park, Leeds, England. While being a social enterprise, it retains the "community atmosphere of its origins as a working men's club". The club is split into three areas—a 400 capacity concert room, a bar area and games room section (which occasionally holds gigs) and a second 400 capacity concert area, known as the Community Room, which opened in 2017. The club was originally formed in 1913 by local businessmen, who built a wooden clubhouse at 33 Queen's Road which opened on 2 December of the same year. After falling into disrepair, this wooden structure was replaced by the present brick building at the cost of £160,00 in 1978, with the club officially reopening on 7 December. Beartooth is an American hardcore punk band formed by Caleb Shomo in Columbus, Ohio, in 2012. They have been signed to Red Bull Records since 2013. Their debut EP ''Sick (EP), Sick'' was released on July 26, 2013, followed by their debut full-length album ''Disgusting (album), Disgusting'' on June 10, 2014. Their second album ''Aggressive (album), Aggressive'' was released on June 3, 2016. Their third album ''Disease (Beartooth album), Disease'' was released on September 28, 2018. The ''i'' is a British national morning paper published in London by Daily Mail and General Trust and distributed across the United Kingdom. Two Thousand Trees Festival
2000trees festival is an independent music festival held from Wednesday to Sunday on the second week of July at Upcote Farm, Withington, near Cheltenham in Gloucestershire. It offers a diverse selection of more than 120 acts across five stages, plus comedy, a large selection of food traders, themed bars and a headphone disco on the two main stages every night of the festival. It also won the Grass Roots Festival Award at the UK Festival Awards 2010, 2013 and 2017 and the Best Medium-Sized UK Festival in 2018. 2000trees was started by six friends in 2007. Reading And Leeds Festivals
The Reading and Leeds Festivals are a pair of annual music festivals that take place in Reading and Leeds in England. The events take place simultaneously on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the August bank holiday weekend. The Reading Festival is held at Little John's Farm on Richfield Avenue in central Reading, near Caversham Bridge. The Leeds event is held in Bramham Park, near Wetherby, the grounds of a historic house. Headliners and most supporting acts typically play at both sites, with Reading's Friday line up becoming Leeds' Saturday line-up, Reading's Saturday line-up playing at Leeds on Sunday, and Leeds' Friday line-up attending Reading on Sunday. Campsites are available at both sites and weekend tickets include camping. Day tickets are also sold. Harm's Way (band)
Harm's Way is an American straight edge hardcore punk band from Chicago, Illinois, formed in 2006. The band started as a side project, but ended up becoming a more serious and full-time band in their later years. Harm's Way has since released four studio albums: ''Reality Approaches'' (2009), ''Isolation'' (2011) and ''Rust'' (2015) and several EPs. On February 9, 2018, the band released their critically acclaimed Metal Blade Records debut, titled ''Posthuman''. The Acacia Strain is an American metalcore band originally from Chicopee, Massachusetts. They are currently signed to Rise Records. The band has released ten full-length albums. History Forming in 2001, The Acacia Strain was started by high school friends Vincent Bennett, Christopher Daniele, and Ben Abert. Looking to bring their current band Septic Orgasm to the next level of technicality, they brought in their mutual friend, Karrie Whitfield, and high school student Daniel "DL" Laskiewicz to play bass and guitar respectively. The band began playing local shows around Massachusetts and recorded their demo in 2001. Knocked Loose
Knocked Loose is an American metalcore band from Oldham County, Kentucky, formed in 2013 and currently signed to Pure Noise Records. The band released its first studio album, ''Laugh Tracks'', in September 2016 through Pure Noise Records. History Knocked Loose's career in its current form began in 2013, but Garris has stated that he started playing with several of the band's current members in 2011 or 2012. Arms Race were an English hardcore punk band formed in London in 2012. They were a part of the New Wave of British Hardcore. History Arms Race was formed at end of 2012, by Nick Stab, Ola Herbich, Patrick Henderson and Oli McVean in an attempt to make music that merged the sounds of United Blood, Condemned 84 and The Partisans (band), The Partisans. They released their first demo as a band in 2013. On 1 October 2014, they released their debut EP ''Gotta Get Out'', through Quality Control HQ and Painkiller Records.
