Anthony Hickox
Anthony Hickox (born 30th January 1959) is an English film director, producer, actor and screenwriter. He is best known for his work in the horror genre, with films like '' Waxwork'' and its sequel, '' Waxwork II: Lost in Time'', '' Sundown: The Vampire in Retreat'', '' Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth'', and '' Warlock: The Armageddon''. He directed a 1997 film adaptation of the long-running ''Prince Valiant'' comic strip starring Stephen Moyer as the eponymous character. His visual style often uses a dual-focus technique in which one person's face takes up most of the screen in profile, with another person shown on the other half of the screen in the background. Jamie Hickox
Jamie Hickox (born 8 February 1964 in Canada) is a former English and Canadian professional squash player. Moving to England, he became the 1983 British Junior Open Squash Under-19 champion. In 1986, he became the Canadian Squash Champion and competed in the Men's World Open Squash Championship. John Furlong, whose professional biographies claim he was the Canadian champion, was an age group winner in 1986. Hickox has represented both England and Canada at International level. In 2011 he became the new Performance Director for Squash Canada after previously coaching the Malaysian National squad. USS ''Hickox'' (DD-673) was a of the United States Navy, named for Lieutenant Commander Ralph Hickox (1903–1942). ''Hickox'' was launched 4 July 1943 by Federal Shipbuilding and Drydock Company, Kearny, N.J.; sponsored by Mrs. Ralph Hickox, wife of the late Commander Hickox; and commissioned 10 September 1943. Namesake Ralph Hickox was born in Washington, D.C. on 29 August 1903. Enlisting in the United States Marine Corps on 23 September 1921, he was appointed to the United States Naval Academy on 18 July 1923 and commissioned Ensign on 2 June 1927. Hickox served in a variety of ships and stations and was finally appointed commanding officer of the destroyer on 3 October 1941. He had been commissioned Lieutenant Commander on 1 July, of that year. They won the bronze medal at the U.S. Championships, earning them the right to compete a month later at the .... Sidney Hickox
Sidney Hickox, A.S.C. (July 15, 1895 – May 16, 1982) was an American film and television cinematographer. Career New York City-born Hickox started his film career at the age of 20 as an assistant cameraman at Manhattan's Biograph Studios and quickly became a full-time director of photography with ''Gloria's Romance'' in 1916. Following World War I, where he was a photographer for the US Naval Air Service, he relocated to Hollywood and joined the staff of First National Pictures. When the studio was absorbed by Warner Bros. in 1928, he remained there and worked on hundreds of projects until his retirement from feature films. Hickox also directed multiple episodes of the TV series ''I Love Lucy'' and ''The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour'' during their final seasons, as well as most of the episodes of ''The Andy Griffith Show'' during its lengthy run. Richard Hickox
Richard Sidney Hickox (5 March 1948 – 23 November 2008) was an English conductor of choral, orchestral and operatic music. Early life Hickox was born in Stokenchurch in Buckinghamshire into a musical family. After attending the Royal Grammar School, High Wycombe from 1959 to 1966, he studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London from 1966 to 1967, then was an organ scholar at Queens' College, Cambridge from 1967 to 1970. Career In 1967, while his father was Vicar of Wooburn, Buckinghamshire, Hickox founded the Wooburn Festival and eventually became its president. The Festival still takes place and features music, drama and the visual arts. Hickox also founded the Wooburn Singers and continued as conductor until succeeded by Stephen Jackson.
