Hepingli Subdistrict, Beijing
Hepingli Subdistrict () is a residential neighborhood and a subdistrict of Dongcheng District, Beijing. It is situated in the northeastern part of the city between the northern 2nd Ring Road and the northern 3rd Ring Road. The neighborhood is bordered by Andingmen Waidajie to the west and Hepingli Dongjie to the east. Hepingli has 102,227 residents in 2020, and comprises 20 residential areas () or zones. Most apartment buildings were built in the 1950s to 1960s. In the early 2000s, most buildings were repainted. History and Name Heplingli, meaning “a place of peace”, was named in 1952 during the Asia and Pacific Rim Peace Conference which was held in Beijing. Dongcheng District, Beijing
The Dongcheng District (; literally "east city district") of Beijing covers the eastern half of Beijing's urban core, including all of the eastern half of the Old City inside of the 2nd Ring Road with the northernmost extent crossing into the area within the 3rd Ring Road. Its area is further subdivided into 17 subdistricts. Settlement in the area dates back over a millennium. It did not formally become a district of the city until the establishment of the Republic of China in 1911. The name Dongcheng was first given to it in a 1958 reorganization; it has existed in its current form since a 2010 merger with the former Chongwen District to its south. Dongcheng includes many of Beijing's major cultural attractions, such as the Forbidden City and Temple of Heaven, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites. After province, prefecture, and county-level divisions, township-level divisions constitute the formal fourth-level administrative divisions of the PRC. Qingnianhu Park
Qingnianhu Park (; literally "Youth Lake") is a city park in Beijing, situated in Dongcheng District, west of Andingmenwai Street. The park was built in 1960 and covers an area of . Qingnianhu, or Youth Lake, accounts for about a third of the park's area. The lake was dug by teenaged volunteers organized by the local government in 1958. Public transportation can be used to get to the park, which lies just outside Ditan station served by bus lines 18, 104, and 108. An entrance fee of 2 yuan is required as of 2012. Features Over 16,000 trees are spread across different scenic areas. Qingnianhu park is known for its modern arts sculptures that complement the natural areas. Temple Of Earth
The Temple of the Earth (traditional Chinese: 地壇; simplified Chinese: 地坛; pinyin: Dìtán) in Beijing, China, is located in the northern part of central Beijing, around the Andingmen area and just outside Beijing's second ring road. It is also located just a few hundred yards north of Yonghe Temple. At 42.7 hectares, it is the second largest of the four Temples of Beijing behind only the Temple of Heaven. Taiyanggong Area () is an area and township on the north of Chaoyang District, Beijing, China. It borders Wangjing and Datun Subdistricts to the north, Jiangtai Township to the east, Maizidian, Zuojiazhuang and Xiangheyuan Subdistricts to the south, Heping Street and Xiaoguan Subdistrict to the west. The Beijing Subway is the rapid transit system of Beijing Municipality that consists of 25 lines including 20 rapid transit lines, two airport rail links, one maglev line and 2 light rail lines, and 463 stations. The rail network extends across 12 urban and suburban districts of Beijing and into one district of Langfang in neighboring Hebei province. With 3.8484 billion trips delivered in 2018, an average of 10.544 million trips per day, the Beijing Subway is the world's busiest metro system.
