Darmstadt () is a city in the States of Germany, state of Hesse in Germany, located in the southern part of the Frankfurt Rhine Main Area, Rhine-Main-Area (Frankfurt Metropolitan Region). Jugenheim
Seeheim-Jugenheim is a municipality in the Darmstadt-Dieburg district in Hesse, Germany. It has a population of approximately 17,000. Seeheim-Jugenheim consists of seven villages: *Balkhausen (population 693) *Jugenheim (population 4,448) *Malchen (population 1,004) *Ober-Beerbach (population 1,269) *Seeheim (population 9,060) *Steigerts (population 81) *Stettbach (population 144) The municipality was formed on January 1, 1977 through the unification of the previously separate municipalities of Seeheim and Jugenheim. Bergstraße (district)
Bergstraße (; "Mountain Road") is a ''Kreis'' (district) in the south of Hesse, Germany. It is at the northern end of the Bergstraße route. Neighboring districts are Groß-Gerau, Darmstadt-Dieburg, Odenwaldkreis, Rhein-Neckar-Kreis, the urban district Mannheim, the Rhein-Pfalz-Kreis, and the urban district of Worms. ''Kreis Bergstraße'' belongs both to the Rhine Neckar Area and the Rhein-Main Region. History The district was created in 1938, when the two former districts Bensheim and Heppenheim were merged. Geography The district is located in the Odenwald mountains, with the 517m high Melibokus as the highest elevation. The '' Bergstraße'' is a tourist route which leads from Darmstadt to Wiesloch; the northern part of this route goes through the district and gave it its name.
