Diarmuid O'Hegarty
Diarmuid O'Hegarty (Irish: ''Ó hÉigeartaigh''; 1892–1958) was an Irish revolutionary and civil servant. He was a member of the Irish Volunteer executive (June 1916 – November 1921), IRA Director of Communications (July 1918 – March 1920) and Director of Organisation (March 1920 – April 1921). O’Hegarty was an extremely self-effacing man whom Frank Pakenham called the "civil servant of the revolution". Paul Hegarty
Paul Anthony Hegarty (born 25 July 1954 in Edinburgh) is a Scottish football player and manager. He was captain of Dundee United during their most successful era in the 1970s and 1980s, winning the Scottish league championship in 1983 and the Scottish League Cup twice. Hegarty won eight full international caps for Scotland. He has managed Forfar Athletic, Aberdeen, Dundee United, Livingston and Montrose. Nick Hegarty
Nicholas Ian Hegarty (born 25 June 1986) is an English football manager and former professional footballer. He is currently a coach at Huddersfield Town women's team. As a player he was a midfielder who played between 2004 and 2018. He had spells with Grimsby Town, Whitby Town, Willenhall Town, York City, St Mirren and Mansfield Town, finishing his career with Hume City after emigrating to Australia. Pat Hegarty
Pat Hegarty (born 1947) is an Irish retired hurler who played as a left corner-back for the Cork senior team. Hegarty joined the team during the 1968-69 National League and was a regular member of the starting fifteen until his retirement after the 1975 championship. During that time he won one All-Ireland medal, four Munster medals and four National League medals. Hegarty was an All-Ireland runner-up on two occasions. At club level Hegarty was a one-time intermediate championship medalist with Youghal. Playing career Club Hegarty played his club hurling with Youghal. HegartyMaths was an educational subscription tool used by schools in the United Kingdom. It was sometimes used as a replacement for general mathematics homework tasks. Its creator, Colin Hegarty, was the UK Teacher of the Year in 2015 and shortlisted for the Varkey Foundation's Global Teacher Prize in 2016. Usage HegartyMaths covered a variety of topics and had 943 tasks to complete. A task included an educational video with an explanation and examples on the topic. Afterwards, there was a quiz to complete, containing topic specific questions. Ruth Hegarty (born 1929, in Mitchell, Queensland) is an Aboriginal Elder and author. Hegarty is well known for her non-fiction novels that document her personal history as one of the Stolen Generation. Her first book, ''Is That You Ruthie?'', is based on her experiences in the Cherbourg Aboriginal Mission where she lived until the age of 14. Her second novel, ''Bittersweet journey'' is her story from her early married life, her dealings with the Native Affairs Department, and her work in community politics and Indigenous organisations. Chris Hegarty (born 24 July 1984) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a midfielder. Career Hegarty came through the youth ranks at Dundee and made several first team appearances, including four in the Scottish Premier League. He moved to Peterhead on loan, however, and eventually signed for the club on a permanent basis.
