Headtrip To Nowhere
''Headtrip to Nowhere'' is the major label debut album by the Canadian heavy metal band Flybanger. It was released on February 20, 2001, through Columbia Records. The CD is enhanced to include a video of the song "Outlived", not otherwise heard on the disc. The album included two tracks which had been released with the band's ''Outlived'' EP. This album was Flybanger's only major release before disbanding. Overview The album was produced by Matt Wallace, known for his work with Faith No More and Deftones. Two songs feature a guest appearance by the former Faith No More guitarist Jim Martin. The third and final single to be released from the album, "Blind World", was used on the '' Dracula 2000'' film soundtrack. Various subject matters are examined in ''Headtrip to Nowhere''. Flybanger is a Canadian metal band from Vancouver. They are best known for their 2001 major label release ''Headtrip to Nowhere''. History The band started out performing under the name Jar. They released two CDs under that name, including ''Knott Skull'' in 1998. The song "Regional Pump" from their 1996 debut ''Harsh and Discord'' appeared in the credits for the Canadian science fiction film '' Laserhawk'', released in 1997. Corrosion of Conformity (also known as COC) is an American heavy metal band from Raleigh, North Carolina, formed in 1982. The band has undergone multiple line-up changes throughout its existence, with guitarist Woody Weatherman as the sole constant member. Weatherman, founding bassist Mike Dean, founding drummer Reed Mullin, and vocalist and rhythm guitarist Pepper Keenan (who joined the band in 1989) are widely regarded as its 'classic' line-up. After a hiatus in 2006, Corrosion of Conformity returned in 2010 without Keenan, who had been busy touring and recording with Down, but announced their reunion with him in December 2014. Endo (band)
Endo was a four-piece nu metal group from Miami, Florida. The band formed in 1995, released two major record label albums in 2001 and 2003, and worked on songs for a third before disbanding in 2007. In 2012, the band got back together with Gil, Eli and Joel, with their new bass player, Derek Gormley. Recording on their new album began early in 2013 with B-Team Records in Miami, FL. Stereomud
Stereomud was an American nu metal band from New York City and Georgia. They were active from years 1999 to 2003 before breaking up, releasing two albums—''Perfect Self'' and ''Every Given Moment''. History Stereomud released their first album, ''Perfect Self'', on Columbia Records in 2001 and a video for the song "Pain" received airplay on MTV2. After extensive touring in support of that album, they went back into the studio, releasing ''Every Given Moment'' in April 2003. After participating in the Jägermeister Music Tour with Hed PE, Breaking Benjamin, Systematic, and Saliva, Columbia Records cut their touring support, and dropped the band. Chimaira () is an American heavy metal band from Cleveland, Ohio. Formed in August 1998, the group was a member of the New Wave of American Heavy Metal scene. Hatebreed is an American hardcore band from Bridgeport, Connecticut, formed in 1994. The band released its debut album '' Satisfaction is the Death of Desire'' in 1997, which gave the band a cult following.
