Hayk Borisi "Hayko" Hakobyan ( hy, Հայկ Բորիսի "Հայկո" Հակոբյան; 25 August 1973 – 29 September 2021) was an Armenian singer and songwriter. Biography Hayko was born on 25 August 1973 in Yerevan, Armenia (then part of the Soviet Union). He studied at Yerevan Secondary School No. 170, then in Secondary School No. 32 named after Hovhannes Tumanyan. In 1987, he graduated from the Yerkhani Chukhachyan Music School and was admitted to R. Melikyan Music College. He started his music career in 1996 with his first song ''Love'' ( hy, link=no, Սեր). He won Armenia's national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 in Helsinki. He represented Armenia in the Eurovision Song Contest in the final with the song "Anytime You Need". The song placed eighth in the contest. Armenia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 with the song "Qélé, Qélé" written by H.A. Der-Hovagimian (aka DerHova) and Sirusho. The song was performed by Sirusho, who was selected internally by the Armenian broadcaster Public Television of Armenia (AMPTV) to represent Armenia in the 2008 contest in Belgrade, Serbia. Siranush Harutyunyan ( hy, Սիրանուշ Հարությունյան; born 7 January 1987), known professionally as Sirusho ( hy, Սիրուշո), is an Armenian singer and songwriter. She received her first award when she was nine years old for her song "Lusabats". Sirusho's first studio album, ''Sirusho'', was released in 2000; followed by the second album ''Sheram'' in 2005. In the same year, she was awarded the Future of Armenian Music, Best Album and Best Female Performer awards in the first Armenian National Music Awards. André Sergeyi Hovnanyan ( hy, Անդրե Սերգեյի Հովնանյան; born July 8, 1979), better known by the mononym André ( hy, Անդրե) is an Armenian singer. Andre is currently one of the most popular pop stars of Armenia, winning the Best Male Singer trophy at various Armenia Music Awards in 2004–2018. COVID-19 Pandemic In Armenia
The COVID-19 pandemic in Armenia is part of the worldwide pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 () caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (). The virus was confirmed to have reached Armenia on 1 March 2020 when its first case was reported.
