''Hayedeh: Legendary Persian Diva'' ( fa, سخن از هایده) is a 2009 documentary film about the late Iranian iconic singer Hayedeh, made by the exiled musician and journalist Pejman Akbarzadeh in The Netherlands. The 100-minute documentary was filmed in France, Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States. The language of the film is Persian. ''Hayedeh'' was released on 20 January 2010, the 20th death anniversary of Hayedeh. The DVD was released by Persian Dutch Network in Amsterdam. Content ''Hayedeh: Legendary Persian Diva'' contains an extensive review of the singers's artistic activities beginning in the late 1960s at Radio Tehran and ending in 1990 in California. Pejman Akbarzadeh
Pejman Akbarzadeh ( fa, پژمان اكبرزاده, born 1980) is a Persian-Dutch pianist, journalist, music historian and documentary maker. Early life Born in Shiraz in 1980, Akbarzadeh had his first music lessons at the age of nine from Gholam Loghmani and later from Bahram Nasrollahi. In 2001 moved to Tehran and continued his piano studies under Farman Behboud. "Persian Musicians" project At age fifteen he started to research the works and activities of twentieth-century Persian (Iranian) composers and conductors. Three years later he published the first volume of his projected four-volume work, ''Persian Musicians'' which became a source for various publications such as ''Encyclopedia Iranica''. Farid Zoland
Farid Zoland ( fa, فرید زلاند), also romanized as Zaland) (born 1 September 1951 in Kabul) is an Afghan songwriter and composer. Throughout his career he has collaborated with many musicians from other countries, most notably from Iran. Early life He comes from a family of musicians with father Jalil Zaland and siblings Shahla Zaland and Wahid Zaland. Education After receiving preliminary education in music from his father in Kabul, Zaland continued a formal education in music at the University of Tehran. He studied music score, theory, and composition at the University of Southern California from 1980 to 1982. Career Zoland went on to compose and produce many of the most iconic Iranian songs for major artists like Dariush Eghbali, Ebi, Googoosh, Hayedeh, Leila Forouhar, and Moein. Radio Farda ( fa, راديو فردا, lit=Radio Tomorrow, ''Radio Farda'') is the Iranian branch of the U.S. government-funded Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) external broadcast service for providing "factual, objective and professional journalism" to its audiences. Farah Pahlavi
Farah Pahlavi ( fa, فرح پهلوی, née Farah Diba ( fa, فرح دیبا, label=none); born 14 October 1938) is the widow of the last Shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, and was successively Queen and Empress (''Shahbanu'') of Iran from 1959 to 1979. She was born into a prosperous family whose fortunes were diminished after her father's early death. While studying architecture in Paris, France, she was introduced to the Shah at the Iranian embassy, and they were married in December 1959. Mahmoud Khoshnam
Mahmoud Khoshnam ( fa, محمود خوشنام, Iran, 27 April 1935 – 14 March 2021) was an Iranian music critic. He was the editor of Music Review magazine in the years 1960–1963. Biography He studied political sciences at the University of Tehran and continued his studies in sociology in Germany and Austria. He taught literature at the Persian National Music Conservatory in Tehran and was the editor of Roudaky Monthly for five years. From 1960 he was the editor of Music Review magazine (Majale-ye Musighi) in Tehran. Khoshnam shortly was the head of Roudaki Hall public relations section. In 1980 he moved to West Germany.
