Havana MetroBus
The Havana MetroBus ( es, MetroBus de La Habana), shortened as MB, is a public bus network serving the city of Havana, capital of Cuba. It is the principal public transport network of the Cuban capital and is conceived as a surface subway. Overview Formerly known as ''camellos'' or ''camelitos'' (Spanish for camels and little camels) for their two humps, the fleet of MetroBus, has been modernized, and now uses large modern articulated buses, such as the Chinese-made Yutong, Russian-made LiAZ, or MAZ of Belarus. The stops are usually 800–1,000 metres (2,600–3,300 ft) apart, with frequent buses in peak hours, about every 10 minutes. The network is linked to several suburban rail stations. Yutong (officially Zhengzhou Yutong Group Co., Ltd.) is a Chinese manufacturer of commercial vehicles, especially electric buses, headquartered in Zhengzhou, Henan. Havana Suburban Railway
The Havana Suburban Railway ( es, Red del ferrocarril suburbano de La Habana) is a passenger rail network serving the city of Havana, capital of Cuba, and its suburbs. Owned by the national company ''Ferrocarriles de Cuba'', it represents the only suburban rail system of the Caribbean island. Overview Outside Havana, the network serves some towns of its metropolitan area in Artemisa and Mayabeque provinces. A little part of Matanzas Province is served by the only electrified line of Cuba, the Hershey Electric Railway from Havana Casablanca station to Matanzas. Guanabacoa
Guanabacoa is a colonial township in eastern Havana, Cuba, and one of the 15 municipalities (or boroughs) of the city. It is famous for its historical Santería and is home to the first African Cabildo in Havana. Guanabacoa was briefly the capital of Cuba in 1555 after Havana was attacked by French pirate Jacques de Sores. This gave rise to the Cuban saying “Like putting Havana in Guanabacoa,” which is used to describe trying fit something too large into a space too small. José Martí International Airport , sometimes known by its former name Rancho Boyeros Airport, is an international airport located southwest of the centre of Havana, Cuba, and is a hub for Cubana de Aviación and Aerogaviota, and former Latin American hub for the Soviet (later Russian) airline Aeroflot. It is Cuba's main international and domestic gateway, and serves several million passengers each year. El Capitolio
El Capitolio, or the National Capitol Building (''Capitolio Nacional de La Habana''), is a public edifice in Havana, the capital of Cuba. The building was commissioned by Cuban president Gerardo Machado and built from 1926 to 1929 under the direction of Eugenio Rayneri Piedra. It is located on the Paseo del Prado, Dragones, Industria, and San José streets in the exact center of Havana. La Víbora, Havana
La Víbora is a ward (''consejo popular'') within the municipality of Diez de Octubre, Havana, Cuba. Principal streets include Calzada 10 de octubre to the east, Avenida Santa Catalina to the south, and Avenida General Lacret to the north. Havana Central Railway Station
Havana Central ( es, La Habana Central, links=no; the "Central Railway Station", ) is the main railway terminal in Havana and the largest railway station in Cuba, is the hub of the rail system in the country. Vedado
Vedado ( es, El Vedado, ) is a central business district and urban neighborhood in the city of Havana, Cuba.
