Hatigaon
Hatigaon is a locality in the southern part of Guwahati, Assam, India. It is surrounded by the localities of Ganeshguri, Bhetapara, Sijubari and Survey. It is near National Highway 37 and is and from Guwahati Railway Station and Airport, respectively. The only place in Guwahati where beef meat is sold and available. Etymology It derives its name from Kamrupi, "Hati" (row) and "Gaon" which translates to rows and village, that is "row of villages". Guwahati
Guwahati (, ; formerly rendered Gauhati, ) is the biggest city of the Indian state of Assam and also the largest metropolis in northeastern India. Bhetapara is a fast-growing mixed residential and commercial area of Guwahati city in Kamrup Metropolitan district in Assam state in India. It connects the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium (main stadium of national games of country which held in the city in 2006) to the rest of the city. Guwahati Railway Station
Guwahati railway station (Station code: GHY) is located in the heart of the city of Guwahati, Assam. It is the first fully solar-operated railway station in India. It has been rated as A1-category station. Just behind the Guwahati Railway Station is the Assam State Transport Corporation Bus Terminal. An ISO-certified railway station, Guwahati Railway Station has been ranked 21 in cleanliness among the A1-category railway stations in India. To reduce the traffic on the Guwahati junction, there is another railway station in the city at Maligaon, the Kamakhya railway station. Almost all newly introduced trains run from the Kamakhya Jn. railway station only. Pan Bazaar (also spelled as Panbazar) (অসমীয়া: পানবজাৰ) is a locality in Guwahati, India surrounded by localities of Paltan Bazaar, Ambari and Fancy Bazaar. Situated on the banks of the river Brahmaputra, it is part of the city centre. Pan Bazaar means "betel-leaf mart" in English.
