Bhetapara
Bhetapara is a fast-growing mixed residential and commercial area of Guwahati city in Kamrup Metropolitan district in Assam state in India. It connects the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium (main stadium of national games of country which held in the city in 2006) to the rest of the city. Health One Ayurvedic Health Centre under central government is located here.. Transport It has a well-developed system of roads. Beltola
Beltola is a prime residential area in the southern part of Guwahati, Assam. Mythical sources claimed that the word Beltola comes from the word Bilvapatra, which means leaves of Bael tree, used in religious ceremonies. It was said that in olden day's large quantities of Bael tree leaves were sent to Kamakhya Temple to be used in rituals. It was from that time the place is called as Beltola. It is an adjoining area of the Dispur Capital Complex, the capital of Assam. The area has seen rapid growth since the 1980s and its southern periphery is today extended up to the National Highway-27 (NH-27) in the extreme south of the city. Maligaon
The headquarters of Northeast Frontier Railway and Northeast Frontier Railway Stadium is situated here. The place is also known for goddess Durga pandals. There are several temples and places of worship in and around Maligaon. Hanuman Mandir, Kali Mandir are of special interest. Town square The focal point of Maligaon is its town square. It is located between Jalukbari Point and the Kamakhya foothills of Kamakhya Temple. Maligaon was previously a part of Pandu but from 1975 became part of Guwahati (Municipality Corporation). The Padmanath Gohain Baruah Road (P.N.G.B. Road) runs from Maligaon Chariali to NH-37 at Tetelia via Maligaon Goshala. Chandmari
Chandmari is one of the oldest localities of Guwahati, Assam, India. Situated towards the eastern side of the city. It is home to All India Radio, Guwahati centre and a couple of academic institutions such as Holy Childs Convent, Bhaskar Bidyapith Higher Secondary School, Near Guwahati Commerce College Gauhati Commerce College, Assam Engineering Institute to name a few. Shillong
Shillong () is a hill station and the capital of Meghalaya, a Indian state, state in northeastern India, which means "The Abode of Clouds". It is the headquarters of the East Khasi Hills district. The 2016 South Asian Games, officially the XII South Asian Games, is a major multi-sport event which took place from 5 February to 16 February 2016 in Guwahati and Shillong, India. A total of 2,672 athletes competed in 226 events over 22 sports. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 2016 South Asian Games in Guwahati on 5 February 2016. The 2007 National Games, also known as the ''33rd National Games of India'' and informally as Assam 2007 was the 33rd edition of the National Games of India, held from 9 February 2007 to 18 February 2007 in Guwahati, Assam, India. Indian National Congress president Sonia Gandhi declared the 33rd National Games open amid clamorous cheering from the 30,000 strong crowd at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium.
