Hassan Benjelloun
Hassan Benjelloun (born April 12, 1950) is a Moroccan screenwriter, director and producer. He is best known for his 2007 comedy '' Where Are You Going Moshé? (Où vas-tu Moshé?).'' Biography Benjelloun was born in Settat. He was born in a family of ten children in 1950. In 1965, he studied science at Abdelmalek Essaadi High School in Kénitra. He attended the Abdelmalek Essaadi high school in Kenitra before passing his baccalaureate in Caen where he continued his studies, pursuing postgraduate studies in pharmacy. He graduated in 1976 and worked at the Faculty of Medicine in Casablanca. In 1979, He passed his bachelor's degree in Caen where he continued by studying pharmacy from which he graduated in 1976. He decided to open a pharmacy in his native town of Settat. Settat
Settat ( ar, سطات, siṭṭāt, ber, ⵥⴻⵟⵟⴰⵜ, ẓeṭṭat) is a city in Morocco between the national capital Rabat and Marrakesh. Settat is located by road south of the centre of Casablanca, roughly an hour's drive. It is the capital of Settat Province and is its largest city in both size and population. According to the 2014 Moroccan census, it had a population of 142,250 people, up from 116,570 people in the 2004 census. Settat is above sea level, built on a plateau surrounded by foothills in all directions. The antiquities of Settat include the very old Ismailiya Kasbah distinguished by the statue of a steed which lies at the center of the city. Where Are You Going Moshé?
''Where Are You Going Moshé?'' (French title: ''Où vas-tu Moshé?'', Arabic title: فين ماشي ''ياموشي - Fin Mashi Ya Moshe?'') is a Moroccan-Canadian film directed by Hassan Benjelloun and released in 2007. Set up in the small town of Boujad, the movie depicts the turmoil created in a small town after the exodus of the Jews of Morocco, especially between the last Jew in town, Shlomo, and the owner of the only bar in the town, Mustapha. The film, although a work of fiction, is shot in the style of a documentary. The plot was largely inspired by an original script by Ahmed Seffar Andaloussi. Plot Mustapha is the manager of the only bar in the small town of Boujad, in Morocco. The Islamic authorities in the town are eager to close it because consumption of alcohol is prohibited to the Muslims, but they cannot do anything since the city remains inhabited by a Jewish community.
