Haryana Rural Antique Museum
The Dr. Mangal Sain Museum (earlier, Haryana Rural Antique Museum) in Hisar, Haryana, India is located inside the ''Gandhi Bhawan'' building of Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University. History The museum construction started in 1975 1975Kurukshetra vol. 24, pp. 206. and was completed around 1978,1978Haryana Review Haryana Public Relations Department, vol. 12, pp.163. to preserve the vanishing antiques of rural Haryana.1987Haryana District Gazetteers: Hisar Haryana, pp.225.] The museum was extended with additional space in 2010. Reconstruction The reconstruction of the museum started in 2018 and was projected to finish by 2019 but completed in 2021. The museum now have a scale model of central complex of CCS HAU, a Mixed reality studio, different soil samples from Haryana, digital platform showcasing pioneering projects of HAU, traditional and folklores of Haryana, a library, and a lot more. Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University
Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University is a public funded agricultural university located at Hisar in the Indian state of Haryana. It is the biggest agricultural university in Asia. The university has of land (around at main campus, at outstations). It is named after India's fifth Prime Minister, Chaudhary Charan Singh. It was initially a satellite campus of Punjab Agricultural University at Hisar. It was established as a university by Haryana and Punjab Agricultural Universities Act, ratified 2 February 1970 and was named as Haryana Agricultural University. Anthony Leocadia Fletcher
Anthony Leocadia Fletcher (9 December 1909 – 14 December 1974) was an Indian civil servant. He was the first vice-chancellor of Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University and the founder of Campus School CCS HAU, Hisar. Early life and education Anthony Leocadia Fletcher, son of Peter Fletcher and Helen Fletcher, was born on 9 December 1909 in a Christian family of Kerala. He completed his school education from St. Joseph's Higher Secondary School, Trivandrum. He did his B.Sc. from University of Madras and M.Sc. from University of Nagpur. Then he went to School of Oriental Studies for further education and joined as an Indian civil servant in London. Rewari Railway Heritage Museum
The Rewari Railway Heritage Museum (formerly the Rewari Steam Locomotive Shed) is a c.1893 railway museum in Delhi NCR at Rewari city in Haryana, India. Built in 1893, it is the only surviving steam locomotive shed in India, and houses some of India's last surviving steam locomotives as well as the world's oldest still-functional 1855-built steam locomotive the Fairy Queen. The Jahaj Kothi Museum in Hisar, Haryana, India, originally an 18th-century Jain temple which was also the residence of George Thomas ( – 22 August 1802) and James Skinner ( – 1841), is located inside the Firoz Shah Palace Complex which lies in front of Hisar Bus Stand. Pranpir Badshah Tomb
Pranpir Badshah's tomb ( hi, बाबा प्राणपिर बादशाह) is a 14th-century tomb, built from white material, near Mahabir Stadium in Hisar city of Haryana state in India. Location The tomb is located next to the Panchayat bhawan, within the compound of Government college Hisar, next to Mahabir Stadium. History This is the tomb of Baba Pranpir Badshah, the spiritual teacher of Sher Bahlol or Dana Sher. Sher Bahlol was also a spiritual teacher who foretold that Ghiyas-ud-din-Tughluq (c. 1320-25 AD) would become the king of Delhi sultanate. Architecture Tomb is built on a raised platform, it built using dressed white kankar stones blocks to a certain height, top of the tomb is built using lakhauri bricks, all four sides have arched gates. The dome on top sits on an octagonal drum, there is no evidence of any grave inside.
