Harry Cort
Stanisław Józef Bielski, performing as Harry Cort (19 March 1908, Trzeszczany - 30 January 1979, Phoenix, Arizona) was a Polish film and theater actor, criminal, and subject of scandal. Life Stanisław came from a noble family that initially used Jelita coat of arms, but then (falsely) claimed the rights to the princely title and the coat of arms Pogoń Litewska of long-extinct Gedyminowicz-Bielski branch. At the end of World War I, he supposedly (according to his own accounts) travelled with his father Jan Edward Bielski, covering the south of Europe, Africa and Asia. After returning to Poland, in 1924 he joined the Corps of Cadets No. 1 in Lviv, and in 1925 he passed his final exams at the st. Kazimierz Men's Gymnasium in Warsaw. Then he went to study in Paris. Halka (1930 Film)
''Halka'' is a 1930 Polish musical film directed by Konstanty Meglicki and starring Zorika Szymańska and Harry Cort. It is a loose adaptation of the 1848 opera ''Halka'' composed by Stanisław Moniuszko with a libretto by Włodzimierz Wolski. Details One of the three Polish pre-war film adaptations of Stanisław Moniuszko's opera (the others being Halka from 1913 and Halka from 1937). The film was initially silent, being shot at the end of the silent film era. It was shown in cinemas with a "musical illustration" recorded on gramophone records. In 1932, the film was "permanently" voiced. Jontek's arias were sung by Władysław Ladis-Kiepura ( Jan Kiepura's younger brother), Halka's by Zuzanna Karin, collective parts performed by a team of artists from the Warsaw Opera. Prince George, Duke of Kent, (George Edward Alexander Edmund; 20 December 1902 – 25 August 1942) was a member of the British royal family, the fourth son of King George V and Queen Mary. He was a younger brother of kings Edward VIII and George VI. Prince George served in the Royal Navy in the 1920s and then briefly as a civil servant. He became Duke of Kent in 1934.
