Harald Nielsen (boxer)
Harald Laderstoff Nielsen (23 February 1902 – 14 March 1983) was a Denmark, Danish Boxing, boxer who won a gold medal at the 1925 European Amateur Boxing Championships in the welterweight division. In 1924 Nielsen competed in the 1924 Summer Olympics, Summer Olympics. He was born and died in Copenhagen. In 1924 he was eliminated in the first round of the Boxing at the 1924 Summer Olympics - Men's welterweight, welterweight class after losing his fight to Giuseppe Oldani. In 1925 he claimed the welterweight title at the 1925 European Amateur Boxing Championships by defeating Helge Ahlberg in the final. 1924 Summer Olympics
The 1924 Summer Olympics (french: Jeux olympiques d'été de 1924), officially the Games of the VIII Olympiad (french: Jeux de la VIIIe olympiade) and also known as Paris 1924, were an international multi-sport event held in Paris, France. The opening ceremony was held on 5 July, but some competitions had already started on 4 May. The Games were the second to be hosted by Paris (after 1900), making it the first city to host the Olympics twice. The selection process for the 1924 Summer Olympics consisted of six bids, and Paris was selected ahead of Amsterdam, Barcelona, Los Angeles, Prague, and Rome.
