Hans Møller Gasmann
Pastor Hans Møller Gasmann (28 January 1872 – 6 December 1961) was a Norwegian educator from Oslo, promoter of association football and one of Norway's first Scout leaders, who founded the Second Christiania Scout Troop at Frogner in Oslo in 1910. In spring 1911, he met with Christian Dons, who had started the First Christiania Scout Troop. They founded the Norwegian Guide and Scout Association ( no, Norsk Speidergutt-Forbund). Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. Christian Fredrik Dons (25 March 1886 – 23 March 1953) was a Norwegians, Norwegian businessman from Oslo and Norway's first Scout, who founded the First Christiania Scout Troop in 1910. In spring 1911, he met with Hans Møller Gasmann, who had started the Second Christiania Scout Troop at Frogner in Oslo. They founded the Norwegian Guide and Scout Association ( no, Norsk Speidergutt-Forbund). Dons was the Norwegian Scout Association's first Chief Scout from 1911 to 1920. The Silver Wolf (Norwegian: Sølvulven) is the highest award made by the Norwegian Guide and Scout Association "for services of the most exceptional character." The award consists of a Silver Wolf suspended from a blue and green neck ribbon. Recipients may wear the corresponding square knot, with a green strand over a blue strand, on their uniform. The Norwegian Silver Wolf was first awarded by the Norwegian Boy Scout Association in 1915. When the Boy Scout Association and Girl Guide Association merged in 1978, the Silver Wolf Award was discontinued, but in 1998 the merged Norwegian Guide and Scout Association restarted awarding the Silver Wolf.
