Rotterdam
Rotterdam ( , , , lit. ''The Dam on the River Rotte'') is the second largest city and municipality in the Netherlands. It is in the province of South Holland, part of the North Sea mouth of the Rhine–Meuse–Scheldt delta, via the ''"New Meuse"'' inland shipping channel, dug to connect to the Meuse first, but now to the Rhine instead. Rotterdam's history goes back to 1270, when a dam was constructed in the Rotte. In 1340, Rotterdam was granted city rights by William IV, Count of Holland. The Rotterdam–The Hague metropolitan area, with a population of approximately 2.7 million, is the 10th-largest in the European Union and the most populous in the country. A major logistic and economic centre, Rotterdam is Europe's largest seaport. In 2020, it had a population of 651,446 and is home to over 180 nationalities. People With HIV/AIDS
HIV-positive people, seropositive people or people who live with HIV are people who have the human immunodeficiency virus HIV, the agent of the currently incurable disease AIDS. According to estimates by WHO and UNAIDS, 34.2 million people were infected with HIV at the end of 2011. That same year, some 2.5 million people became newly infected, and 1.7 million died of AIDS-related causes, including 230,000 children. More than two-thirds of new HIV infections are in sub-Saharan Africa. However, fewer than 20% of them are actually aware of the infection. Infection with HIV is determined by an HIV test. Gender and diagnosis Diagnosis and gender play corresponding roles in recognizing the lives of those who live with HIV/AIDS. Women have not been diagnosed as early as men because their symptoms were not as obvious and doctors were not as likely to search for the disease in them as they are for men. This has also been based on the fact that far more men than women participated in cli ...

Toneelgroep Amsterdam
Toneelgroep Amsterdam is the largest repertory company in the Netherlands. Its home base is the Amsterdam Stadsschouwburg, a classical 19th century theatre building in the heart of Amsterdam. History The Dutch Company Toneelgroep Amsterdam started in 1987 through a merger of and with Gerardjan Rijnders as its artistic director. His montage-method of creating plays and his avant-garde stagings of classic plays were very influential in the Netherlands, as well as abroad. Since 2000 the company is led by Flemish director Ivo van Hove. He and his long-time designer Jan Versweyveld broke through the confinements of the classical stage to rediscover the stage as a "location." For their production ''Faces'' (an adaptation of John Cassavetes's film) the audience watched the show lying in beds. International Many of Toneelgroep Amsterdam's productions travel abroad. For instance, van Hove's adaptation of several of Shakespeare's plays, presented under the title ''Roman Tragedies'', ...

Kapitein Rob En Het Geheim Van Professor Lupardi
Kapitein Rob en het Geheim van Professor Lupardi (''Captain Rob and the Secret of Professor Lupardi'') is a 2007 Dutch adventure film, directed by Hans Pos and based on Evert Werkman and Pieter J. Kuhn's eponymous newspaper comic ''Kapitein Rob''. The script was written by De Waal and Hans Pos in collaboration with their production companies '' Screenpartners'' and ''Shooting Star Films''. It received a Gouden Film award in 2007 and a MovieSquad Junior Award in 2008, but was otherwise neither a critical nor a commercial success. Critic Jan Pieter Ekker of De Volkskrant felt the story was comparable to "cardboard" and that its low budget showed too much. Plot Captain Rob has to babysit Stijn and Sandra, the children of his sister Marga, when he hears that a cargo of gold has been stolen when the ship sailed through a mysterious mist. He receives the mission to investigate the matter immediately and takes the children with him. Along his journey he meets the weatherwoman Paula. T ...
