Outside Music
Outside Music is a Canadian record label and distributor founded by Lloyd Nishimura in 2001. In 2007, it expanded to include an artist management division which includes Jill Barber, Matthew Barber, Aidan Knight, Justin Rutledge as management clients. The Outside Music Label released The Sadies's ''Tremendous Efforts'' and albums by Billy Bragg, Tinariwen, The Super Friendz, and the soundtrack to the indie film ''The Life and Hard Times of Guy Terrifico''. Sebastien Grainger
Sebastien Alexandre Grainger (born 11 April 1979) is a Canadian singer and musician, best known as drummer and singer of the alternative rock duo Death from Above and the singer and guitarist for his band Sebastien Grainger and The Mountains. He is part owner of Giant Studios in Toronto, Ontario with Jimmy Shaw of Metric. Solo career Sebastien signed with Saddle Creek Records in the USA, Outside Music in Canada and JVC in Japan to release his debut solo album, entitled ''"Sebastien Grainger & The Mountains"'', which was released on 21 October 2008. It was recorded between Giant Studio in Toronto and Mountain City Studio in Montreal. Grainger wrote and performed nearly all the parts on the record with the exception of a few songs that were recorded as a full band. He is currently playing shows across North America. Shugo Tokumaru
is a Japanese singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, who debuted in May 2004 in America with his album ''Night Piece''. He creates every aspect of his music, including the lyrics, music, arrangements, recording and mixing. He is known for the variety of instruments he uses in his music, using over 100 different traditional and non-traditional instruments in his recordings. Tokumaru is also a member of the Japanese rock band Gellers. Tokumaru's 2010 album '' Port Entropy'' was his most commercially successful album in Japan, breaking into the top 40. Tasseomancy (band)
Tasseomancy is a Canadian experimental band from Toronto formed by twin sisters Sari and Romy Lightman. Biography Born in c. 1985 and raised in Toronto, the Lightman twins moved to Halifax to attend university. There the sisters began performing under the moniker Ghost Bees that they described as "experimental acoustic folk". The duo released their debut EP ''Tasseomancy'' on April 8, 2008, via Youth Club Records as Ghost Bees. The pair toured around North America in support of the record. Little Girls (band)
Little Girls is a Canadian indie rock band formed in 2008 from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The band emerged from Toronto's post-punk scene as a solo recording project of multi-instrumentalist Josh McIntyre. With a focus on Minimalist Electronic, Little Girls released CULTS EP (September 6, 2011) on Hand Drawn Dracula and are currently working on their second full-length record.
