''Consequence'' (previously ''Consequence of Sound'') is an independently owned New York-based online magazine featuring news, editorials, and reviews of music, movies, and television. History ''Consequence of Sound'' was founded in September 2007 by Alex Young, then a student at Fordham University in The Bronx, New York. The website took its original name from the Regina Spektor song " Consequence of Sounds". In January 2008, Michael Roffman became Editor-in-Chief. In October 2014, ''Consequence of Sound'' began covering film and became a part of the Chicago Film Critics Association. In 2016, ''Consequence of Sound'' was reorganized under the umbrella of Consequence Media, a digital media, advertising, and marketing firm. ''Third'' is the third studio album by the English band Portishead. It was released on 28 April 2008 in the UK by Island Records and a day later in the US by Mercury Records. Portishead's first studio album in eleven years, ''Third'' moved away from their earlier trip hop style, incorporating influences such as krautrock, surf rock, doo wop and the film soundtracks of John Carpenter. Portishead ( ) is an English Electronic music, electronic band formed in 1991 in Bristol. ''Stay Positive'' is the fourth studio album by the Hold Steady, released on July 15, 2008, through Vagrant Records. Vocalist/guitarist Craig Finn notes that the album is about "the idea of ageing gracefully ..keeping going, perseverance ndhow to stay true to the ideals and ideas you had when you were younger." Keyboard player Franz Nicolay notes that the album is his favorite, stating that it features an "integrated, nuanced, less hectic distillation of heir earliersound." Boyd Calvin Tinsley (born May 16, 1964) is an American violinist and mandolinist who is best known for having been a member of the Dave Matthews Band. Early life Tinsley was born and raised in Charlottesville, Virginia. His was a musical family; his father was a choir director and his uncle a bassist who also played the trumpet for local bands. Tinsley was an aspiring guitarist until middle school, when he discovered his proficiency on the violin. He studied with Isidor Saslav, then concertmaster of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra but, at age 16, decided he did not want to pursue a career in classical music. Tinsley studied history at the University of Virginia, where he was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity. While in school, he formed a two-man band called Down Boy Down.
