Hamad Medjedovic
Hamad Medjedovic ( sr, Хамад Међедовић, Hamad Međedović; born 18 July 2003) is a Serbian professional tennis player. On 16 October 2023, Medjedovic reached his career-high ATP singles ranking of world No. 102. On 24 May 2021, he peaked at No. 1267 in the doubles rankings. Medjedovic has a career-high ITF junior combined ranking of world No. 9 achieved on 4 January 2021. He is the reigning Next Gen ATP Finals champion. Early life Medjedovic was born in Novi Pazar, at the time part of Serbia and Montenegro. He first met countryman Novak Djokovic at age nine or ten and first practised with him at age 16, after which Djokovic began providing Medjedovic advice and financial support for all of his tennis expenses. Serbia Davis Cup Team
The Serbian men's national tennis team represents Serbia in the Davis Cup and the ATP Cup, both tennis competitions. Since June 2006, the team has played under the name of Serbia, following the split of Yugoslavia. Serbia won the Davis Cup title for the first and only time in 2010, defeating France with 3:2 in the final as host nation. The Norway Davis Cup team represents Norway in the Davis Cup competition and is governed by the Norwegian Tennis Association. Norway currently compete in World Group I. They never qualified for the World Group in the old Davis Cup format, though they reached the World Group play-offs in 1995. They have still yet to participate in the new format's Davis Cup Finals.
