Hafei Ruiyi
The Hafei Ruiyi is a microvan-derived cabover pickup truck produced by Chinese manufacturer Hafei Motor and developed in partnership with Pininfarina. The Ruiyi is sold in Brazil and Uruguay under the brand Effa Motors. Overview The Hafei Ruiyi is essentially the pickup version of the Hafei Zhongyi, with the front end of the cab unit being identical to the microvan. In December 2007, the Ruiyi was launched in Chile together with the Zhongyi and Lobo. Microvans and their pickup derivates were extremely popular in Chile during the late 1970s and 80's, and are widely known as pan de molde (sliced bread), basically the same name known in China, ''mian bao che'' (bread loaf car (van) because of their shape. The Hafei Ruiyi is sold as a utility truck in the United States by Mag International Inc. The truck is known in the US as T-MAG and/or T-MAG XC. Hafei Motor
Hafei, officially Hafei Motor Co., Ltd. (), is a Chinese automaker currently operating as a subsidiary of Changan Ford, and manufacturing passenger vehicles. It previously independently manufactured sedans, MPVs, mini vehicles, small trucks, and vans for commercial use. History Hafei was formerly owned by Aviation Industry Corporation of China. The earliest Hafei products were Suzuki Carry-based microvans and trucks sold under the Songhuajiang brand, named after the Songhua River, but by 2002 they were sold directly under the Hafei brand. Effa Motors
Effa Motors is an Uruguayan automobile and commercial vehicle manufacturer with headquarters in San José de Mayo in southern Uruguay. The company was founded by Eduardo Effa in 2006 for the construction of the vehicles imported as CKD kits used. Effa is located in the same workshop as the defunct automaker Dolce Vitta, whose World Manufacturer Codes of 9UP, 9UR and 9US are used for beginning of Effa's vehicle identification numbers. Cab-over, also known as cab over engine (COE), cab forward (U.S.), flat nose (Canada), or forward control (UK), is a body style of truck, bus, or van that has a vertical front, "flat face" or a semi-hood, with the cab of the truck sitting above (or forward of) the front axle. This contrasts with a conventional truck where the engine is mounted in front of the driver. This truck configuration is currently common among European and Asian truck manufacturers.
