Gødland
''Gødland'' is an American comic book ongoing series, series by Joe Casey and Tom Scioli, set in the Image Universe and published by Image Comics from 2005 in comics, 2005 to 2012 in comics, 2012. Publication history The series was conceived as both a homage to and a revival of the so-called "Cosmic Superhero Epic" as told by many great comic writers of the 1970s like Steve Engelhart, Jim Starlin and Jack Kirby. The style of the series is strongly inspired by Kirby's style in his ''Eternals (comics), Eternals'' and ''Jack Kirby's Fourth World, The Fourth World'' series. While obviously strongly inspired by this series, Casey and Scioli add their own twist on the stories with a little humor. Joe Casey
Joe Casey is an American comic book writer. He has worked on titles such as '' Wildcats 3.0'', ''Uncanny X-Men'', '' The Intimates'', '' Adventures of Superman'', and '' G.I. Joe: America's Elite'' among others. As part of the comics creator group Man of Action Studios, Casey is one of the creators of the animated series ''Ben 10''. Career Starting his professional writing career at Marvel Comics, Casey wrote for several titles, including ''Cable'', ''The Incredible Hulk'' and ''Uncanny X-Men''. Casey wrote many titles for Wildstorm, like the highly experimental '' Automatic Kafka'' with artist Ashley Wood. Image Comics
Image Comics is an American comic book publisher and is the third largest comic book and graphic novel publisher in the industry in both unit and market share. It was founded in 1992 by several high-profile illustrators as a venue for creator-owned properties, in which comics creators could publish material of their own creation without giving up the copyrights to those properties. Newsarama is an American website that publishes news, interviews, and essays about the American comic book industry. It is owned by Future US. In June 2020, Newsarama was merged with the website GamesRadar+, also owned by FutureUS. History Newsarama began in mid-1995 as a series of Internet forum postings on the Prodigy comic book message boards by fan Mike Doran. In the forum postings, Doran shared comic book-related news items he had found across the World Wide Web and, as these postings became more regular and read widely, he gave them the title "Prodigy Comic Book Newswire." Erik J. Larsen (born December 8, 1962) is an American comic book artist, writer, and publisher. He currently acts as the chief financial officer of Image Comics. He gained attention in the early 1990s with his art on Spider-Man series for Marvel Comics. A supervillain or supercriminal is a variant of the villainous stock character that is commonly found in American comic books, usually possessing superhuman abilities. A supervillain is the antithesis of a superhero. Supervillains are often used as foils to present a daunting challenge to a superhero. In instances where the supervillain does not have superhuman, mystical, or alien powers, the supervillain may possess a genius intellect or a skill set that allows them to draft complex schemes or commit crimes in a way normal humans cannot.
