Gulin Park
Gulin Park () is a 400 acre park in Nanjing in Jiangsu Jiangsu (; ; pinyin: Jiāngsū, alternatively romanized as Kiangsu or Chiangsu) is an eastern coastal province of the People's Republic of China. Description Gulin Park is located on the west side of Huju Road North near the Nanjing Arts Institute (南京艺术学院). Within the park are temples, ancient structures, and Eight Centre Court (八景阁), the highest point in the park. The park has an outdoor swimming pool that is open during the summer. There are picnic areas where visitors can barbecue food. Every spring, Gulin Park holds a "plum exhibition" with more than 3000 plum species. The Nanjing University of the Arts (NUA; ), also known as the Nanjing Arts Institute, is a university offering undergraduate and graduate degrees in fine arts, design, and related subjects. The institutional history begins in 1912, with the foundation of Shanghai Chinese Art College. The name was changed to the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts of in 1930. The amalgamation of several universities in 1952 produced East China Arts College, situated in Wuxi. In 1958, East China Arts College relocated to Nanjing, and in 1959 it acquired its present name.
