Growlanser Generations
''Growlanser Generations'' is both a collection of '' Growlanser II'' and '' Growlanser III'' and the sole North American release of both games. The North American localizations of both games were produced by Working Designs. This is also the last video game Working Designs released in the U.S. before they became defunct in December 2005. ''Growlanser Generations'' is not to be confused with '' Growlanser V: Generations'', the Japanese name of the fifth entry in the ''Growlanser'' series. Development ''Growlanser Generations'' can be considered an American version of the 2003 ''Growlanser Collection'', which contained '' Growlanser I'', ''II'' & ''III''. Career Soft
was a Japanese video game development studio founded in June 1996 by Team Career, a team within the Masaya Games, which was formed to develop ''Langrisser'' and '' Langrisser II''. Career Soft continued to work with Masaya Games for the development of ''Langrisser III'', ''Langrisser IV'' and '' Langrisser V''. In October 2001, Atlus acquired Career Soft and became the sole publisher of their games. As a subsidiary to Atlus, Career Soft was in charge of develop the spiritual successor to the ''Langrisser'' franchise, ''Growlanser''. In 2004, after the release of '' Growlanser IV'', the majority of Career Soft's staff was merged into the main development team of Atlus, where they have worked on the ''Shin Megami Tensei'' sub-series '' Devil Survivor''. Growlanser (video Game)
is a tactical role-playing game for the PlayStation. It was developed by Career Soft and published in Japan by Atlus in 1999. It is the first installment in the ''Growlanser'' series, a spiritual successor to the '' Langrisser'' series. Like all ''Growlanser'' games, the character art was done by Satoshi Urushihara. The game's music was done by Noriyuki Iwadare, with the opening theme being performed by Rukan Aru, and the ending theme being performed by Ayumi Ootsu. A direct sequel to the game was released in 2001 under the name '' Growlanser II: The Sense of Justice''. , the "Master of Breasts", is a Japanese manga artist and illustrator known for his distinctive style of beautiful characters. Tactical role-playing games (abbreviated TRPGs), also known as strategy role-playing games and in Japan as (both abbreviated SRPGs), are a video game genre that combines core elements of role-playing video games with those of tactical (Turn-based tactics, turn-based or Real-time tactics, real-time) strategy video games. Langrisser
is a fantasy tactical role-playing video game series created by Masaya Games. The main development team is Career Soft, first as Team Career within Masaya Games for the first three games and then as an independent studio for ''Langrisser IV'' and ''V''. The series has a fantasy- Germanic setting, but draws on religious concepts like ditheism and sword worship for historical context. The series was originally released for Sega platforms during the 1990's, with the first two installments originally made for the Mega Drive, followed by third through fifth installments (along with a remake compilation of the first two games) for the Sega Saturn. Working Designs
Working Designs was an American video game publisher that specialized in the localization of Japanese role-playing video games, strategy video games and top-down shooters for various platforms. Though the company had published many cult hits, it was known best to fans as the long-time exclusive North American publisher of the '' Lunar'' series. The company was one of the few game publishers that attempted to bridge the cultural gap between the Japanese and American video game industries during the 1990s with an eclectic selection of releases from various genres, and was also one of the earliest American publishers to make use of the CD-ROM format for full, spoken English dialogue in their titles at a time when voice acting was not a common feature in most mainstream games. Noriyuki Iwadare
is a Japanese video game composer. Biography Iwadare was born in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture, Japan. He began to compose video game music after years of being involved with university bands. He began composing for Toaplan, arranging their arcade video game soundtracks for their Sega Mega Drive home console ports, notably the Mega Drive version of ''Zero Wing'' (1990), before composing for other companies such as Game Arts on their ''Lunar'' and ''Grandia'' series. The first award he won the Best Game Music award, the Mega Drive/Genesis category for '' Lunar: The Silver Star'' in 1991. Rising Star Games Limited is a British video game publisher based in Hitchin. History Rising Star Games was founded on 10 July 2004 by Martin Defries as a joint venture between Bergsala Holding and Japanese publisher Marvelous Entertainment. Marvelous Entertainment sold its 50% share in Rising Star Games to Intergrow, another Japanese publisher, in January 2010.
