Grant Kirkhope
Grant Kirkhope is a Scottish-American composer and voice actor for video games and film. Some of his notable works include '' GoldenEye 007'', '' Banjo-Kazooie'', ''Donkey Kong 64'', and ''Perfect Dark'', among many others. He has been nominated for various BAFTA, ASCAP, and IFMCA awards. Early life and education Kirkhope was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, where his mother worked as a music hall dancer. Kirkhope's father was an avid music fan and exposed him to early influences such as Frank Sinatra and Glenn Miller. Kirkhope taught himself to play guitar at age 11 and is classically trained in the trumpet. Kirkhope was brought up in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire from the age of five, and attended King James's School. Kirkhope played in various bands after leaving the Royal Northern College of Music, including Zoot and the Roots along with the saxophonist Snake Davis. Little Angels
Little Angels were an English hard rock band predominantly active between the mid-1980s and mid-1990s. The band reformed on 8 June 2012 to play the Download Festival. Blast Corps
''Blast Corps'' is an action game developed by Rare and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64. In the game, the player uses vehicles to destroy buildings in the path of a runaway nuclear missile carrier. In the game's 57 levels, the player solves puzzles by transferring between vehicles to move objects and bridge gaps. It was released in March 1997 in Japan and North America. A wider release followed at the end of that year. The game was Rare's first game for the Nintendo 64. Its development team ranged between four and seven members, many of whom were recent graduates. Graeme Norgate
Graeme Norgate is a British video game music composer who has composed music for a variety of video games developed by Rare. His first project at Rare was writing music for the Game Boy game, '' Donkey Kong Land''. He also contributed to the soundtracks of ''Blast Corps'' and '' GoldenEye 007''. Norgate was later an employee of Free Radical Design, the company was eventually bought out by Crytek and renamed to Crytek UK; Norgate retained the position of audio director after the company's buyout. Norgate later moved to Deep Silver Dambuster Studios after Crytek closed down Crytek UK. Originally working at a bank before joining Rare in 1994, Norgate worked on the music of such games as ''GoldenEye 007'' and ''Blast Corps''. A friend of fellow Rare composer Robin Beanland, the two worked on the original soundtrack to ''Killer Instinct'' in the 1990s. ''Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest'' is a 1995 platform game developed by Rare and published by Nintendo for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). It was released on 21 November 1995 in Japan, and on December 14 in North America and Europe. It is the second installment of the ''Donkey Kong Country'' series and the sequel to ''Donkey Kong Country'' (1994). Players control Diddy Kong and his friend Dixie Kong, who must rescue Donkey Kong after he is kidnapped by King K. Rool. David Wise (composer)
David Wise is a British video game music composer and musician. He was a composer at Rare from 1985 to 2009, and was the company's sole musician up until 1994. He has gained a following for his work on various games, particularly Nintendo's ''Donkey Kong Country'' series. Wise is known for his atmospheric style of music, mixing natural environmental sounds with prominent melodic and percussive accompaniment. Career and influences Wise has said that he has had a wide range of musical influences, though the first instrument he learned to play was the piano, before later learning the trumpet, and then learning to play the drums during adolescence. He played in a few bands during his youth, and was still active in a band as of 2004. ''Donkey Kong Land 2'' is a platform video game developed by Rare and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy. It is the sequel to the 1995 Game Boy game '' Donkey Kong Land'' and is part of the ''Donkey Kong'' video game series. It was released worldwide in Autumn 1996. It was enhanced for the Super Game Boy with different shades of color, as well as a 16-bit banana border on the edges of the television screen. ''Killer Instinct Gold'' is a 1996 fighting video game based on the arcade game '' Killer Instinct 2''. The game was developed by Rare and released by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64 video game console. ''Killer Instinct 2'' is a fighting video game developed by Rare and manufactured by Midway for arcades in 1996 as a sequel to ''Killer Instinct'' (1994). A modified version of ''Killer Instinct 2'' was published for the Nintendo 64 as ''Killer Instinct Gold'' that same year. A Super Nintendo Entertainment System version of ''Killer Instinct 2'' was developed and completed, but never released. Naturalization (or naturalisation) is the legal act or process by which a non-citizen of a country may acquire citizenship or nationality of that country.
