''Grad'' (trans. ''The City'') is an Extended play, EP released by Serbian Rock music, rock band Cactus Jack (band), Cactus Jack in 2002. ''Grad'' is the band's second release, following their 2002 debut release, the live/cover album ''DisCover (album), DisCover'', and is the band's frist release to feature their own material. Besides three tracks, the EP features the video for the track "Nekada" ("Some Time Ago") as a bonus. The EP cover was designed by Dragoljub "Paja" Bogdanović, who appeared on the band's previous release as guest vocalist and would in 2015 become Cactus Jack's frontman. Cactus Jack (band)
Cactus Jack is a Serbian rock band formed in Pančevo in 1998. Led by guitarist Stevan Birak and fronted by vocalist Vladimir Jezdimirović, the group started as a cover band. Cactus Jack's debut release was the live cover album ''DisCover'' (2002), followed by the live tribute album '' Deep Purple Tribute'' (2003). The band presented themselves with traditional hard rock sound, the releases bringing them attention of the audience and the media. The band released their first album of their own songs, entitled '' Natur all'', in 2004, followed by the album '' Mainscream'' (2005). In the years following the release of their second studio album, the band failed to maintain mainstream popularity and returned to club performances with female vocalist Bojana Racić, including a number of funk and pop rock covers into their repertoire. Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the garage, psychedelic and blues rock movements. Some of the earliest hard rock music was produced by the Kinks, the Who, The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Cream, Vanilla Fudge, and the Jimi Hendrix Experience. One Records is a record label based in Belgrade, Serbia. The album was recorded on the band's concert held on 23 December 2001 in the Coupe club in their hometown Pančevo. It features 19 covers of songs by various rock acts. The album features two bonus tracks, "Hard to Handle (song), Hard to Handle" and "Tush (ZZ Top song), Tush", with Dragoljub "Paja" Bogdanović as guest vocalist. Bogdanović, who would in 2015 become Cactus Jack's frontman, was at the time member of the band Beer Drinkers & Hell Raisers. Deep Purple Tribute
''Deep Purple Tribute'' is the second live album by Serbian hard rock band Cactus Jack, recorded as a tribute album to British hard rock band Deep Purple and released in 2003. The album was released on two discs featuring 12 covers of Deep Purple songs. The album was recorded on Cactus Jack concert held on 22 November 2002 in Coupe club in their hometown Pančevo. ''Deep Purple Tribute'' was the band's first album to feature keyboardist Zoran Samuilov. The opening track, " Highway Star", features rock musician and radio host Vladimir Janković "Džet" announcing the band. Janković also appears on vocals on the track " Black Night". Dragoljub "Paja" Bogdanović—who appeared as a guest on the band's debut album, ''Discover'', and would become the band's frontman in 2015—appears on vocals on the track "Strange Kind of Woman".
