The Embassy of Germany in Ottawa (german: Deutsche Botschaft Ottawa) is located on Waverley Street, off Queen Elizabeth Driveway, in the Golden Triangle neighbourhood of the Canadian capital of Ottawa. Golden Triangle, Ottawa
The Golden Triangle is a sub-neighbourhood of Centretown in Somerset Ward in central Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It borders Elgin Street, at its west, and the Rideau Canal, at its east. The Ottawa City Hall is to its north and the Elgin Street Police Station to its south. Rockcliffe Park, Ontario
Rockcliffe Park ( French: ''Parc Rockcliffe'') is a neighbourhood in Rideau-Rockcliffe Ward, close to the centre of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Established in 1864, organized as a Police village in 1908, and an independent village from 1926, and ultimately amalgamated with the rest of Ottawa on January 1, 2001. , it had a population of 2,021. In 1977 the entire village of Rockcliffe Park was designated a Heritage Conservation District. Werner Dankwort
Carl Werner Dankwort (August 13, 1895 – December 19, 1986) born in Gumbinnen, East Prussia (now Gusev, Russia), was a German diplomat who served a major role in bringing Germany into the League of Nations in 1926 prior to representing the German contingent in the Organisation for European Economic Co-operation, the post-World War II effort known as the Marshall Plan. Biographical details After completing his Abitur and one semester of law studies, Dankwort served as a soldier in the first World War from September 1914 until November 1918. He received a doctor of jurisprudence degree in 1920 from the University of Würzburg. After a brief time in civil law, he entered the German diplomatic service in 1920 and was assigned as consul to Zurich, Switzerland and shortly afterward to Stockholm, Sweden, in 1927. Rupprecht Von Keller
Rupprecht von Keller (19 March 1910 – 19 July 2003) was a German lawyer and diplomat. Life Von Keller was born in Schöneberg. His parents were Friedrich von Keller and Irene von Landmann, a daughter of Robert von Landmann. He graduated from the gymnasium at Ettal Abbey. He studied law in Lausanne and Munich, passing his first Staatsexamen. He wrote his dissertation ''Der Geisel im modernen Völkerrecht'' (The hostage in modern international law) in 1932 at the University of Erlangen. In 1933, in order to secure a position as a referendary, he joined the " Marine SA" in Bavaria, but left in 1935. Beginning in 1936, he worked for the Foreign Office (''Auswärtiges Amt'') in Berlin. From 1937 to 1938, he was an attaché representing Germany in Helsingfors. He became a member of the Nazi Party in 1940 and volunteered for the Kriegsmarine to avoid being questioned about his Jewish ancestors.
