Gallery Int Fashion Fair
Gallery Int Fashion Fair is a trade fair held twice a year during Copenhagen Fashion Week, in August and February. History Christian Gregersen is the founder and owner of Gallery Int Fashion Fair. He is also the co-organizer of Copenhagen Fashion Week and the owner of Gregersen Communication (founded in 1999). Description Gergersen founded Gallery Int Fashion Fair in 2005 as a small showroom. By 2008, it had grown into a full sized fair with 350 leading brands. Currently, the fair represents more than 150 leading, design driven fashion brands from Scandinavia and 200 design driven brands from around the world. Gallery has also one of Europe's biggest show scenes with more than 20 catwalks shows each year and has had 120 shows within the last 6 years. Vivienne Westwood
Dame Vivienne Isabel Westwood (née Swire; born 8 April 1941) is an English fashion designer and businesswoman, largely responsible for bringing modern punk and new wave fashions into the mainstream. Westwood came to public notice when she made clothes for the boutique that she and Malcolm McLaren ran on King's Road, which became known as SEX. Fashion Fair is a medium-sized, enclosed shopping mall in Fresno, California, anchored by two Macy's stores, JCPenney, and Forever 21. Originally opened in 1970, Fashion Fair was expanded in 1983 (to accommodate Macy's and a new food court) and in 2005 (with the addition of an outdoor lifestyle wing). It competes with The Shops at River Park and Fig Garden Village, two outdoor shopping centers in the city of Fresno. History The mall was built in 1970 by the MacDonald Group and was sold in 1987. The mall originally opened with Gottschalks, J. C. Penney, and Weinstock's; Macy's joined the roster in 1983. Ebony Fashion Fair (also known as the Ebony Traveling Fashion Fair) was an annual fashion event created by Eunice Johnson, co–founder of the Chicago, Illinois–based Johnson Publishing Company. The show ran across the United States and other countries from 1958 until 2009. In addition to the fashion fair, the company also created a cosmetic line named Fashion Fair Cosmetics, in 1973. Peter Jensen (born in Løgstør, Denmark) is a men's and womenswear designer. Background Jensen initially studied graphic design, embroidery and tailoring at The Royal Danish Academy of Design in Copenhagen before moving to London in 1997 to undertake an MA in menswear at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. He graduated in 1999 and formed his eponymous menswear label afterwards, subsequently also introducing womenswear. Henrik Vibskov (born 1972) is a Danish fashion designer, artist, curator and musician. Commonly associated with the fashion brand carrying the same name, his work is known for its enticing universes and crossover into other art forms. Working in the intersection between art and design, his work includes: art, installations, scenography, costumes, video, performance and exhibitions. Cheap Monday was a Swedish clothing label. It was founded in 2004 by Örjan Andersson and Adam Friberg, originally as a second-hand clothing store, in a suburb of Stockholm. The clothes started selling on March 10, 2004, and from the beginning in only one store called Weekday. The name of the brand derived from the fact that the original store was only open on Sunday. The brand was known for their idiosyncratic designs, and expanded from their original focus on jeans to include sneakers, flannel, and shirts.
