Göyazan Qazakh FK is an Azerbaijani football club. The club currently takes part in Azerbaijan First Division. History The club was founded in 1978, re-established in 1986 and 2003. FC Goyazan participated in five Soviet Second League seasons during 1987–1991 years and ranked 5th in 1988 and made its best indicator. In 1986 they also won Azerbaijan USSR League. The season started on 6 September 2014 and there were sixteen teams participating in the league. The 2013–14 Azerbaijan First Division is the second-level of football in Azerbaijan. The season was started on 10 September 2013 and there were sixteen teams participating in the league. Ağsu were the defending champions. Teams Turan-T were relegated for the first time in their history, after twenty years in Azerbaijan Premier League, the longest period in its history. On 21 August 2013, it was announced that Araz and Karvan after reformation will join the first division, while Qala and Taraggi will not participate after becoming defunct. The 2011-12 Azerbaijan First Division is the second-level of football in Azerbaijan. Fourteen teams participated in Azerbaijani First Division in 2011-12. Teams At the end of the 2010–11 season, champions FC Absheron and runners-up was initially must be promoted but due financial difficulties, FC Absheron became defunct, while FK Mughan was demoted to first division and replaced by Sumgayit City F.C.
