Guy Goodes
Guy Goodes ( he, גיא גודס; born 13 March 1971) is an Israeli professional basketball coach and former player. He is currently the head coach of Hapoel Holon of the Israeli Premier League and the Israel national team. Professional career Goodes played as a point guard from 1994 to 2004, primarily with Maccabi Tel Aviv (1990–97 and 1998–99). He was on the Israel basketball national team from 1995 to 1999. Coaching career He was head coach of Maccabi Rishon Lezion in 2004–06. Later, he was an assistant coach at Maccabi Tel Aviv from 2006 to 2008. In June 2008, Hapoel Jerusalem hired him as its head coach, to a one-year contract with a team option for a second year. He coached the team from 2008 until 2010. The Israeli Basketball State Cup ( he, גביע המדינה בכדורסל) is the second most important professional basketball competition in Israel, after the Israeli Basketball Super League, Israeli Super League. It is the national federation cup of Israel. The tournament began in the 1955–56 season, and is run by the Israel Basketball Association. In the 21–22 season, the tournament format was changed so that only the first 8 teams at the end of the first rotation of the Israeli Basketball Premier League will compete. The quarter-final matches will be drawn between the teams in places 1-4 against 5-8 for a one-game elimination match. Oded Kattash ( he, עודד קטש, born October 10, 1974) is an Israeli professional basketball coach for Maccabi Tel Aviv and former player. During his playing career, at a height of 194 cm (6' 4 ") tall, he played at the point guard position. He was the 1998 Israeli Basketball Premier League MVP. As a player, he won the EuroLeague title in the 1999–2000 season, while playing with Panathinaikos. Zvi Sherf ( he, צבי שרף; born December 18, 1951 in Tel Aviv, Israel), known almost universally by his nickname Zvika ( he, צביקה), is an Israeli former basketball player and professional basketball coach. David Blatt
David Michael Blatt ( he, דוד מיכאל בלאט; born May 22, 1959), is an Israeli-American professional basketball executive. He is also a former coach and player. Blatt played point guard at Princeton University from 1977 to 1981 and played in the Maccabiah Games for the U.S. national team that won a gold medal in 1981. He then played professional basketball in Israel for nine of the next twelve years, before an injury ended his playing career, and he began coaching full-time. He is one of the most successful Israeli-American coaches in European basketball history.
