Gustaf Wally
Gustaf Wally (24 November 1905 – 3 March 1966) dancer, actor and theatre manager was born Gustaf Wallenberg. He was a member of the industrialist Wallenberg family. He formed the dance troupe the '' Wally brothers'' along with Niels Bagge-Wessel. In the 1930s, Gustaf Wally participated in shows by Karl Gerhard and Kar de Mumma. He was the head of "Södra Teatern" in Stockholm from 1939 to 1941, and "Oscarsteatern" from 1942 to 1947. He made ten records and took part in seven movies. Oscarsteatern
Oscarsteatern (English: Oscar Theatre), also known simply as Oscars, is one of Stockholm's private theatres and is the best-known musical theatre in Sweden. It is located at Kungsgatan 63 in central Stockholm. History The theater was designed in Art Nouveau by architect Axel Anderberg (1860–1937) and was inaugurated on December 6, 1906. It was named after King Oscar II. The salon accommodated 1175 seats and was decorated with white stucco and gilded ornaments. Between 1971-1974, the theater was closed for renovation and at the same time the salon was restored. The opening production was ''Frihetsbröderna (Les brigands)'' by Jacques Offenbach, on 6 December the same year. The theatre has during the years been seen as the foremost stage for musical productions and operettas in Sweden. Som du vill ha mej (As You Want Me) is a Swedish romantic comedy film from 1943 directed by Gösta Cederlund. The script was written by Kid Bruncrona based on Tancred Ibsen's film script for '' The Dangerous Game'', in turn based on Alex Brinchmann's play ''Karusell''. The film premiered in Sweden on March 15, 1943. Gustaf Wally appears in the film as a singer and dancer in one of his few film roles. Plot The outgoing architect Gösta asks his friend Fredrik, a doctor, for help. Gösta thinks that his wife Gunilla is a bit bored, and Fredrik is persuaded to test an invigorating injection on her. What they do not know is that Gunilla has overheard the entire conversation, and she decides to teach the gentlemen, in particular Gösta, a lesson. Södra Teatern is a theatre in Stockholm, Sweden. It is located at Mosebacke torg on Södermalm in Stockholm. The venue is the oldest theatre in Stockholm and is situated in the heart of the city. History Södra Teatern is one of Sweden's oldest active theaters. The current theater was designed by architect Johan Fredrik Åbom (1817-1900) and was inaugurated in 1859.
