Gunnar Skar
Gunnar Julius Skar (July 5, 1923 – October 12, 2012) was a Norwegian actor and theater director. Career During the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s he worked as an actor and director at the New Theater and its successor, the Oslo New Theater. Skar also worked as a director for the Norwegian Theater and performed as an actor at the National Theatre in Oslo. He played two minor roles in the films ''To mistenkelige personer'' (1950) and '' Selkvinnen'' (1953). Family Skar was born in Skjeberg, the son of Andreas Barnholdt Skar (1892–1990) and Esther Ulrikke Skar (née Johannessen, 1894–1988). He died in 2012 and is buried in Oslo's Western Cemetery. Skjeberg
Skjeberg is a district of Sarpsborg, Østfold County, Norway. Skjeberg was formerly a municipality in Østfold County. The last administrative centre was at Borgenhaugen. As of 2018, Skjeberg has a population of 1,397. The parish of Skjeberg was established as a municipality on January 1, 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). The property, Hagelund, with 8 inhabitants was moved to the Halden municipality on January 1, 1968. The rural municipality of Skjeberg was (together with Tune and Varteig) merged with the city of Sarpsborg January 1, 1992. Prior to the merger, Skjeberg had a population of 14,295. Vestre Gravlund
Vestre Gravlund is a cemetery in the Frogner borough of Oslo, Norway. It is located next to the Borgen metro station. At , it is the largest cemetery in Norway. It was inaugurated in September 1902 and also contains a crematorium (''Vestre krematorium'') and chapel (''Gravkapellet''). The grave chapel was constructed in granite and clay stone and was designed by architect Alfred Christian Dahl (1857–1940). It was built in 1900 and consecrated in 1902. Oslo Nye Teater is a theater located in Oslo, Norway. The theater has its main stage in its own theater house at Rosenkrantz' gate 10. It is one of Norway's most visited theatres. The theatre was founded in 1912, after an initiative from Hulda Garborg and Edvard Drabløs. ''To mistenkelige personer'' (Two Suspects) is a Norwegian crime drama from 1950 directed by Tancred Ibsen. The film is about the murder of two sheriffs in Norway and the subsequent hunt for the criminals. The script is based on Gunnar Larsen's 1933 novel ''To mistenkelige personer'' (Two Suspects). The novel is loosely based on a real incident that happened in Ådal in 1926. The film was banned from being shown in Norway for reasons of privacy. The verdict was upheld until the end of the 1990s. Background The film adaptation of the book is based on the true story of the sheriffs' murders at Vågård, an event that took place at Vågård in Ytre Ådal on August 22, 1926, when two sheriffs from Ringerike tried to arrest two safe blowers and robbers. ''Selkvinnen'' (The Seal Woman) is a Norwegian film from 1953. It was directed by Lauritz Falk and Per Jonson; Falk himself played the lead role in the film. The film script was written by Leif Sinding. Gunnar Sønstevold composed the music for the film. Plot Danish bailiffs rule the Faroe Islands with a firm hand.
