Gungahlin United Football Club (formerly Juventus SC and Gungahlin Juventus SC) is an Australian semi-professional Association football, football club based in the Canberra district of Gungahlin, Australian Capital Territory, ACT. Gungahlin currently competes in the National Premier Leagues Capital Football with home matches played at the recently constructed Gungahlin Enclosed Oval. History The club was established by the local Canberra Italian community in 1963 under the name ''Juventus Soccer Club'', inspired by the Juventus F.C., Italian club of the same name. Gungahlin Enclosed Oval
Gungahlin Enclosed Oval is a multi-use stadium located in the north Canberra region of Gungahlin, Australian Capital Territory. It is the home ground for Gungahlin United, Gungahlin Jets, Gungahlin Bulls and Gungahlin Eagles. The venue has a seating capacity of 1,150 people and an overall capacity of 5,000. Stadium Facilities The playing surface is made of high quality, water-efficient turf and is lit to the Australian Standard for sporting competition. The grandstand provides seating for 1,150 people, of which 550 is under cover, and includes team and officials' changing rooms, public toilets, canteen and storage for both users and maintenance staff. The National Premier Leagues (NPL) is a national association football competition in Australia which acts as the second tier of the sport in the country below the A-League. National Soccer League
The National Soccer League (NSL) was the top-level soccer league in Australia, run by Soccer Australia and later the Australian Soccer Association. The NSL, the A-League's predecessor, spanned 28 seasons from its inception in 1977 until its demise in 2004, when it was succeeded by the A-League competition run by Football Federation Australia, the successor to the Australian Soccer Association. 2018 Capital Football Season
The 2018 Capital Football season was the sixth season under the new competition format in the Australian Capital Territory. The league premier for the new structure qualifies for the National Premier Leagues finals series, competing with the other state federation premiers in a final knockout tournament to decide the National Premier Leagues Champion for 2018. Canberra Olympic FC is an Australian semi-professional Association football club based in the suburb of O'Connor in the north of Canberra, Australian Capital Territory. The club was founded in 1956, and currently competes in the National Premier Leagues Capital Football. History Olympic was founded in the early 1950s by the local Greek community of Canberra. Belconnen United Football Club (formerly ''Belconnen Blue Devils'') is an Australian semi-professional association football club based in the northern Canberra region of Belconnen, ACT. The women's First Grade team currently competes in the National Premier Leagues Capital Football.
