Groß-Rohrheim is a municipality in the Bergstraße district in Hesse, Germany. Geography Location The community lies 3 km east of the Rhine in the middle of the ''Hessisches Ried'' north of Biblis. Neighbouring communities Groß-Rohrheim borders in the north on the town of Gernsheim ( Groß-Gerau district), in the east on the community of Einhausen, in the south on the community of Biblis and in the west on the district-free city of Worms (Rhineland-Palatinate) and the community of Hamm am Rhein ( Alzey-Worms district in Rhineland-Palatinate). Biblis is a municipality in the Bergstraße district in southern Hessen, Germany. Geography Location The municipality lies in the Rhine rift west of the Odenwald between Darmstadt to the north and Mannheim to the south; it also lies north of Bürstadt. Biblis lies directly north of the lower reaches of the Weschnitz, which empties into the Rhine only a few kilometres northwest of the municipality. Mannheim–Frankfurt Railway
Mannheim–Frankfurt railway is a German standard gauge, electrified railway line and runs in southern Hesse and northern Baden-Württemberg between Frankfurt and Mannheim. It is also called the ''Riedbahn'' (Ried Railway). The line runs through an area called the '' Hessische Ried'', hence the name. The term ''Riedbahn'' was originally used for the Darmstadt–Worms railway and the two lines share the central section between Groß-Gerau and Biblis. The Mannheim–Frankfurt railway is used by three Intercity-Express routes, connecting South Germany with Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne and Dortmund and regional services of the Rhine-Main transport union and Rhine-Neckar transport union. Einhausen is a municipality in the Bergstraße district in Hesse, Germany, some 15 km east of Worms. Geography Location Einhausen lies on the Bergstraße in the ''Hessisches Ried'' and belongs the northeast Rhine valley, which has a rather favourable climate. Lorsch Abbey, otherwise the Imperial Abbey of Lorsch (german: Reichsabtei Lorsch; la, Laureshamense Monasterium or ''Laurissa''), is a former Imperial abbey in Lorsch, Germany, about east of Worms. It was one of the most renowned monasteries of the Carolingian Empire. Even in its ruined state, its remains are among the most important pre- Romanesque– Carolingian style buildings in Germany.
