''Grid'' (Stylised as ''GRID'') is a racing video game series developed by Codemasters and published by Electronic Arts. It is considered a descendant of Codemasters' earlier ''TOCA Race Driver'' series. Games ''Race Driver: Grid'' (2008) Developed under the working title ''Race Driver One'', ''Race Driver: Grid'' was released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo DS, and Games for Windows in June 2008. Before its release, over one million people downloaded the demo. Racing Video Game
Racing games are a video game genre in which the player participates in a racing competition. They may be based on anything from real-world racing leagues to fantastical settings. They are distributed along a spectrum between more realistic racing simulations and more fantastical arcade-style racing games. Kart racing games emerged in the 1990s as a popular sub-genre of the latter. Racing games may also fall under the category of sports video games. Fernando Alonso Díaz (; born 29 July 1981) is a Spanish racing driver currently competing for Alpine in Formula One. Rendering or image synthesis is the process of generating a physically-based rendering, photorealistic or Non-photorealistic rendering, non-photorealistic image from a 2D model, 2D or 3D model by means of a computer program. Games for Windows is a discontinued brand owned by Microsoft and introduced in 2006 to coincide with the release of the Windows Vista operating system. The brand itself represents a standardized technical certification program and online service for Windows games, bringing a measure of regulation to the PC game market in much the same way that console manufacturers regulate their platforms. The branding program was open to both first-party and third-party publishers. Games for Windows was promoted through convention kiosks and through other forums as early as 2005. The promotional push culminated in a deal with Ziff Davis Media to rename the ''Computer Gaming World'' magazine to '' Games for Windows: The Official Magazine''. ''Grid Autosport'' is a racing video game developed by Codemasters for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Linux, iOS, macOS, Nintendo Switch and Android. It is the third game in the ''Grid'' series. It aims to move the series back towards "more authentic racing games" following the release of ''Grid 2'', which Codemasters felt was not as well-received by the company's core fanbase as it was hoped for. ''Grid 2'' is a 2013 racing video game developed and published by Codemasters for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360. It is the second game in the ''Grid'' series. Feral Interactive released the ''Reloaded Edition'' for OS X in September 2014. The sequel, '' Grid Autosport'', was released 24 June 2014. Gameplay The game includes numerous real world locations and cities such as Paris. It also includes motor vehicles spanning four decades. For each product, the scores from each review are averaged (a weighted arithmetic mean, weighted average). Metacritic was created by Jason Dietz, Marc Doyle, and Julie Doyle Roberts in 1999. The site provides an excerpt from each review and hyperlinks to its source. A color of green, yellow or red summarizes the critics' recommendations. It is regarded as the foremost online review aggregation site for the video game industry.
