Grethe Gynnild Johnsen
Grethe Gynnild Johnsen (born 18 April 1959 in Bø i Vesterålen) is a Norwegian journalist. From 2004-08 she was responsible for news production at the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation headquarters in Oslo. That includes Dagsrevyen, Dagsnytt, the news channel NRK2, NRK Alltid Nyheter and the news production for nrk.no. Currently she is director for all regional offices for NRK. NRK, an abbreviation of the Norwegian ''Norsk Rikskringkasting AS'', generally expressed in English as the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, is the Norwegian government-owned radio and television public broadcasting company, and the largest media organisation in Norway. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. ''Dagsrevyen'' (English: ''The Daily Review'') is the daily evening news programme for the Norway, Norwegian television channel NRK1, the main channel of the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK), broadcast at 19:00. In 2007, the programme started airing simultaneously on NRK's dedicated news channel NRK2, but this arrangement ended that same year. Dagsrevyen's first newscast was broadcast in 1958 and it has kept its name since. It is Norway's most viewed programme, with daily ratings of around one million. Around 200 people are involved in its production, with headquarters at Marienlyst in Oslo. Dagsrevyen aims at fewer, but longer and more extensive stories than its competitors. ''Dagsnytt'' (Norwegian: "daily news") is Norwegian public radio's main news programme. It is broadcast on most of NRK radio channels, with bulletins every hour and longer programmes four times a day (06:30, 07:30, 12:30 and 17:30). NRK2 (NRK To) is one of the TV channels of the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK). It was launched on 1 September 1996. History The channel started its regular broadcasts on 1 September 1996, but the evening before, a live simulcast, led by Trond-Viggo Torgersen, was broadcast on both NRK1 and NRK2. Sunday 1 September was the first regular broadcast day, and around 880,000 people watched the channel during the first evening. From the start, the channel was to be youth-oriented and had people between the ages of 15 and 35 as its main target group. For the first eleven years, before the channel changed its profile, culture, entertainment and music programs were mainly broadcast. NRK Nyheter () is a Norwegian all-news radio channel operated by the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK). It was launched on 14 April 1997 (as ''NRK Alltid nyheter'') as part of an effort to attract listeners to DAB digital radio, and was the world's first all-digital news channel. Initially the station used the same production model as ABC NewsRadio in Sydney, Australia and broadcast news every fifteen minutes, in a less formal manner than traditional radio. It had its own staff of 16 journalists who created stories based on material provided by NRK's main news division, the BBC World Service, and Sveriges Radio.
