Gottfried Küssel
Gottfried Küssel (born 10 September 1958) is an Austrian far-right political activist who also gained some notoriety in Germany. He has been a leading figure in neo-Nazism and Holocaust denial since the 1970s. Early years Born in Vienna, Küssel first became involved in politics in 1976 when he became a member of ''Aktion Neue Rechte'', a German New Right organisation, and by his admission joined the NSDAP/AO the following year. He was also a member of the neo-Nazi ''Kameradschaft Babenberg'' from 1979 until it was outlawed in April 1980 and around this time also edited the far-right magazine ''Halt''. Activism in Austria In the early 1980s Küssel undertook much work amongst football supporters, especially those of Rapid Vienna, aimed at recruiting them to the far right, in particular the ''Volksbewegung'', which he joined in 1982. The German Alternative (german: Deutsche Alternative or ) was a minor neo-nazi group set up in Germany by Michael Kühnen in 1989. Christian Worch (born 14 March 1956) is a prominent German neo-Nazi activist and chairman of the far-right political party Die Rechte. In 1974, Worch started a militant group called the ''Hansabande'' in Hamburg, along with Michael Kühnen. Udo Walendy (21 January 1927 – 17 November 2022) was a German author, soldier, and Holocaust denier. Like Gerd Schultze-Rhonhof, he disputed Germany's guilt for the Second World War. Life Walendy was born in Berlin on 21 January 1927. . Towards the end of the war Walendy was drafted first into the ''Reichsarbeitsdienst'' (auxiliary force), then the ''Luftwaffenhelfer'' (child soldier in the air force) and finally into the regular ''Wehrmacht'' (the German military). It is considered by many scholars to be central to the international Holocaust denial movement.
