Gorana Matić
Gorana Matić (born October 24, 1973) is a Croatian tennis player that played for Yugoslavia and Croatia. Matić didn't have much success in her career but she is nevertheless important for the history of Croatian tennis. Virág Csurgó
Virág Csurgó (born 10 November 1972) is a retired Hungarian tennis player. Csurgó won six singles and 17 doubles titles on the ITF Circuit in her career. On 20 November 1995, she reached her best singles ranking of world No. 160. On 21 September 1998, she peaked at No. 84 in the WTA doubles rankings. Csurgó reached the second round in both women's singles and doubles at the 1996 Summer Olympics. She wasn't originally entered in the singles event but was added when another competitor had to withdraw at the last minute. With only five minutes to take the court, she arrived at the match wearing her practice shorts and a T-shirt, and went on to defeat Aleksandra Olsza before falling to Kimiko Date in the second round. Csurgó also reached the second round in three Grand Slam doubles tournaments. Christina Zachariadou ( gr, Χριστίνα Ζαχαριάδου; born 28 August 1974) is a retired Greek tennis player. In her career, she won three singles titles and twelve doubles titles on the ITF Circuit. On 20 October 2003, she reached her best singles ranking of world No. 358. On 11 September 1995, she peaked at No. 186 in the doubles rankings. The Greece Denmark Billie Jean King Cup team represents Greece in Denmark Billie Jean King Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Hellenic Tennis Federation. They currently compete in the Europe/Africa Zone of Group I. History Greece competed in its first Fed Cup in 1968. Their best result was reaching the round of 16 in 1977 and 1984. Ruxandra Dragomir
Ruxandra Dragomir Ilie (born 24 October 1972) is a retired tennis player from Romania. She won four singles and five doubles titles on the WTA Tour during her career. The right-hander reached her highest individual WTA ranking on 25 August 1997, when she became the No. 15 of the world. Between 2009 and 2013 she was the president of Romanian Tennis Federation. Her best performance at a Grand Slam tournament came when she got to the quarterfinals of the 1997 French Open, defeating Sonya Jeyaseelan, Yayuk Basuki, Karina Habšudová and Nicole Arendt before losing to the eventual champion, Iva Majoli. Dragomir retired from professional tennis in 2005. Rabac ( it, Porto Albona) is a Croatian resort town on Kvarner Bay, just southeast of Labin, in Istria. Long a small fishing port, Rabac has grown in the 1970s into a resort town with numerous villas and apartment buildings. The Rabac Festival is an annual electronic music festival that has been held there for many years; 3000 people attended in 2002. Tennis is a racket sport that is played either individually against a single opponent ( singles) or between two teams of two players each ( doubles). Each player uses a tennis racket that is strung with cord to strike a hollow rubber ball covered with felt over or around a net and into the opponent's court.
