Gonzalo Núñez
Gonzalo Núñez (born July 21, 1954) is an Ecuadorian-American former professional tennis player. Núñez was born in the Ecuadorian city of Guayaquil and moved to the United States in the mid-1970s to live with relatives in New Jersey. He played collegiate tennis for the University of Texas and was the 1975 national amateur grass court champion. A Davis Cup representative for Ecuador in 1975, Núñez competed on the Grand Prix circuit mostly in doubles tournaments. He won an ATP Challenger doubles title in Barcelona in 1981. Rory Chappell (13 January 1959 - 14 August 2014) was a South African professional tennis player. John Van Nostrand
John Van Nostrand (July 17, 1961 – April 15, 1984) was a professional tennis player from the United States. His sister Molly Van Nostrand also played tennis professionally. Career Van Nostrand was a dual NCAA All-American for Pepperdine University, in 1982 and 1983. He appeared in the main draw of one Grand Slam during his career, the 1983 Australian Open, in the men's doubles, but never got to play a point, as he and partner Jim Gurfein defaulted the match. The American was a quarter-finalist at the 1983 Hall of Fame Tennis Championships, held in Newport, Rhode Island. He beat world number 46 Mike De Palmer in the opening round and Mike Leach in the second round. In the first tournament of the 1984 Grand Prix season, at Auckland, Van Nostrand and partner Brian Levine were doubles champions. Hugo Núñez
Hugo Núñez (born 14 April 1961) is an Ecuadorian former professional tennis player. Biography Núñez grew up in both Ecuador and the United States. He was born in Guayaquil and went to high school in New Jersey, then attended Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE). In 1980, he teamed up with Juan Farrow to win the NCAA Men's Division II doubles championship, having lost to Farrow in the singles championship final. A right-handed player, Núñez reached a best singles ranking on the professional tour of 222 in the world. His best performance on the Grand Prix circuit was a second round appearance at the 1988 Livingston Open. He won three ATP Challenger doubles titles during his career. Between 1987 and 1992 he featured in a total of seven Davis Cup ties for Ecuador.
