Glostrup Stadion
Glostrup is a Danish town in Region Hovedstaden, forming one of the western suburbs of Copenhagen. It is the administrative seat of Glostrup Municipality, with an estimated population of 22,357 . During the 20th century Glostrup developed from a small railroad town into a modern middle class suburb. The population reached a peak during the 1970s flight from central Copenhagen, but has since stabilized. While most of Copenhagens western suburbs are dominated by public housing projects, Glostrups mix is around the Danish average. A series of large companies, e.g. Grontmij's and Motorola's Danish sections, along with NKT Holding and Pandora are situated in the area. Hvidovre Municipality
Hvidovre Kommune is a municipality (Danish, '' kommune'') in Region Hovedstaden near Copenhagen on the island of Zealand (Sjælland) in eastern Denmark. The municipality covers an area of 22 km2, and has a total population of 53,416 (1 January 2019). Its mayor is Anders Wolf Andresen, a member of the Green Left (''Socialistisk Folkeparti'') political party. The main town and the site of its municipal council is the town of Hvidovre. Werner Knudsen
Werner Knudsen (born 23 October 1953) in Ringsted) is a Danish computer scientist, composer and author of both choral music and IT books. He is an IT architect at IBM and used to work at TDC A/S. He lives in Glostrup close to Copenhagen. Parallel to his IT career he has always worked with music, in particular choir singing. For a number of years he was chairman of the Children's choir of the Royal Danish Academy of Music for which he has arranged some music. He is also a member of Akademisk Kor, a Copenhagen-based oratorio choir. He has primarily composed songs as well as choral and organ music, notably in collaboration with author Niels Johansen. Eva Steiness
Eva Steiness née Uhl (born 1941) is a Danish physician, former university professor and businessperson who has been active in Scandinavia's pharmaceutical industry since the late 1990s. She is currently CEO of Serodus ASA, a biomedical company based in Oslo which develops drugs for the treatment of diabetes. In 1982, Steiness became the first women to be appointed dean of Copenhagen University's faculty of medicine and in 1985, she became the first women in Denmark to become a full professor in the medical field with her appointment at Aarhus University. Jørgen Erik Nielsen, Dr. Phil. (23 September 1933 – 10 January 2007) was an associate professor at the University of Copenhagen. Nielsen graduated from the University of Copenhagen in 1959. In 1976 he was awarded the D.Phil. degree for a dissertation on the Danish reception of contemporary English literature 1800–1840 (''Den samtidige engelske litteratur og Danmark 1800–1840 I-II''). Holger Marius Nielsen
Holger Marius Nielsen (1905–1993) was an official of the Danish Ministry of Education. He was one of the editors of the ''Dictionary of the Danish Language'' (Ordbog over det Danske Sprog), which was edited and published from 1919 until 1956 in 28 volumes and is available on the internet. He was awarded the Order of the Dannebrog in 1965 after having been the chairman of a ministerial working group preparing a new bill on the education of Danish teachers in primary school. The bill was adopted by the Danish Parliament in 1966. He retired from his duties with the Ministry of Education in 1973. Holger Marius Nielsen was the son of Peder Adolf Nielsen (1872–1962) and Caroline Marie Nielsen (1873–1937). A ''Konditorei'' is a business that typically offers a wide variety of pastries and typically also serves as a café, these are found in many different countries including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Denmark, Sweden, the Czech Republic, and more. However the culture and function of the ''Konditorei'' may vary based on locations. In Germany, Austria, and Switzerland it's a popular custom to go in the mid-afternoon to a ''Konditorei'' to have a portion of cake and some coffee or hot chocolate to consume on the premises. Just Michael Aagaard (17 July 1757 – 7 October 1819) was a Danish merchant and '' konditori''-owner in Copenhagen. He served as chair of the Council of 32 Men (later to become the Copenhagen City Council) and was director of Kjøbenhavns Brandforsikring (Copenhagen Fire Insurance). He was the father of Holger Halling Aagaard and owned Iselingen at Vordingborg from 1806. Diocese Of Oslo
Oslo bishopric is the Church of Norway's bishopric for the municipalities of Oslo, Asker and Bærum. It is one of Norway's five traditional bishoprics and was founded around the year 1070. History Oslo was established as a diocese in 1068. It was originally a suffragan of the archdiocese of Hamburg-Bremen, from 1104 on of that of Lund and starting from 1152 on of Nidaros. Niels Simonsen Glostrup
Niels Simonsen Glostrup (died 6 January 1639 in Christiania, Norway) was a Danish priest who became the seventh Lutheran Bishop of Oslo (after 1624: Christiania). Niels Glostrup was born in a small town named Glostrup near Copenhagen, where his father, Simon Jensen, was a priest. At the University of Copenhagen, he appears in 1604 as a student and in 1608 as a responder in a disputation, which was held by Professor Hans Jensen Alanus at the University. Then he went aboard. In 1609 he was in Wittenberg. In 1612 he took his Master's Degree in Copenhagen and, in the same year, became a parish pastor in Køge, Denmark. The next year, he was engaged to marry Karen Andersdatter but she left him for King Christian IV of Denmark. Niels married her sister Anna instead.
