Gloriana Pellissier (born 12 August 1976) is an Italian ski mountaineer and mountain runner. Biography Pellissier was born in Aosta. She started ski mountaineering in 1995 and competed first in the Tour du Rutor race in 1996. She has been member of the national team since 1999. Pellissier is married with two children. Aosta

Ski mountaineering (abbreviated to skimo) is a skiing discipline that involves climbing mountains either on skis or carrying them, depending on the steepness of the ascent, and then descending on skis. Vertical Race
A Vertical Race is a special kind of ski mountaineering without the typical downhill skiing after ascending. At the mountain running and climbing passages the runners have to carry their skis in their backpacks. Arianna Fernanda Follis (born 11 November 1977, in Ivrea, Piedmont) is an Italian cross-country skier who started competing in 1995. Competing in two Winter Olympics, she earned a bronze medal in the 4 × 5 km relay at Turin in 2006. Follis earned five medals at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships with a gold (Individual sprint: 2009), one silver (Individual sprint: 2011) and three bronzes (10 km: 2007, Team sprint: 2009, 4 × 5 km relay: 2005).
