Glitterbug Tour 2015
The Glitterbug Tour 2015 is a major concert tour by Liverpool alternative band The Wombats, in support of their third studio album '' Glitterbug'', which was released in April 2015. The band played 121 shows in 22 different countries. Synopsis The tour started in January 2015 with a set of warm up shows in the UK and USA. The full tour began in March across continental Europe, continuing in the United Kingdom following the release of the album Glitterbug. This was followed by a tour of America in late April and May. The band then appeared in festivals across the world during the summer, including Splendour in the Grass where the band drew the largest crowd of the festival. The band followed this with additional tours of Europe, the United States and Australia, where they headlined the Byron Bay leg of Falls Festival on New Year's Eve. The Wombats
The Wombats are an English indie rock band formed in Liverpool in 2003, consisting of Matthew Murphy (lead vocals, guitar, keyboards), Tord Øverland Knudsen (bass, backing vocals, keyboards), and Dan Haggis (drums, backing vocals, keyboards). They are independent and have distribution deals with AWAL and Warner Music Australia. They have sold over 1 million albums worldwide. They created several EPs before releasing their first full album, '' Girls, Boys and Marsupials'' (2006), which was released only in Japan. The band's debut studio album, ''A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation'' (2007), featured some tracks first released on ''Girls, Boys and Marsupials''. Pop Etc (pronounced "pop et cetera"), formerly known as The Morning Benders, is an indie rock band. They originally formed in Berkeley, California but moved to Brooklyn, New York later in their career. In 2008, they released their debut album ''Talking Through Tin Cans'' on +1 Records. The band has toured in support of Broken Bells (spring 2010), Grizzly Bear (fall 2009), The Kooks and Death Cab for Cutie (summer 2008), Ra Ra Riot (fall 2008), and has also played with Yo La Tengo, MGMT, Grand Archives, Yeasayer, Two Gallants, The Rosebuds, Au Revoir Simone, We Are Scientists, and White Rabbits.
